GTA Online has enough businesses to waste a new player's first several million dollars. A property can look useful on the in-game website and still sit unused because it needs another purchase, expensive upgrades, or more players for comfortable sales. The order below is for players who want dependable solo income before buying optional content.
Prices listed here are normal base prices before renovations, equipment, staff, weekly discounts, GTA+ offers, or Career Builder choices. Rockstar changes bonuses and discounts regularly, so check the current Newswire event before paying full price. A temporary sale can move one item forward, but it does not change what each property requires.
New characters should finish the setup route in the GTA Online Beginner Progression Guide before following this purchase list. Finish that early setup before spending money on the first business.
Buy These First
1. Acid Lab: Complete the six First Dose missions, steal the required lab equipment, and pay GTA$750,000 to install the Acid Lab in the Brickade 6x6. After ten Fooligan Jobs, buy the GTA$250,000 equipment upgrade. The Acid Lab is the best first business for most solo players because it has a low total entry cost, works in private sessions, and every sale uses one delivery bike.
Do not stop after the basic installation. The equipment upgrade improves production speed and product value, so the business is much weaker without it. Buy supplies when you want to spend your playtime on missions, or steal them while your balance is still low. The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid and other no-property work can pay for the installation without another major purchase.
2. Agency: The least expensive Agency costs GTA$2,010,000 before optional additions. It opens Security Contracts and the Dr. Dre VIP Contract, both of which can be completed solo. Its work is active rather than passive, which makes it useful while Acid Lab stock is being produced. The standard office already provides the content you need.
Skip the Armory, Vehicle Workshop, personal quarters, and decorative changes at first. They add convenience but do not unlock the Agency's main paying jobs. Buy them later if you use the property often. Keeping at least a few hundred thousand dollars after the purchase is more useful than completing every checkbox on the property website.
3. Bunker: A Bunker becomes a sensible third business when you can afford a good location and its production upgrades. Chumash costs GTA$1,650,000 and is close to Los Santos. The GTA$1,155,000 equipment upgrade and GTA$598,500 staff upgrade bring the practical working cost to GTA$3,403,500 before other options. The cheaper Paleto Forest Bunker creates much longer drives, so its lower price can cost you time on every sale.
Set staff to manufacturing when income is the priority. Research is useful for weapon and vehicle unlocks, but splitting staff slows stock production. Solo players should sell smaller amounts instead of waiting for a full Bunker, which may assign several delivery vehicles. Business sales are available in Invite Only sessions, so a public lobby is a choice for an extra demand bonus, not a requirement.

Add These After Your Income Is Reliable
4. Kosatka, if you enjoy heists: The Kosatka costs GTA$2,200,000 before upgrades and opens The Cayo Perico Heist, which Rockstar allows players to complete solo. It is technically a service vehicle rather than a standard production business, but it belongs in this purchase decision. Move it ahead of the Bunker if you prefer repeating one setup-and-finale route instead of managing stock. Delay the Sparrow until the submarine itself is paid for.
5. Nightclub: Nightclub base prices run from GTA$1,080,000 to GTA$1,700,000. The club can earn safe income from popularity, but its warehouse is the main reason established players buy it. Warehouse technicians need compatible businesses, including Bunker, Biker, and cargo operations, to produce the related goods. Buying a Nightclub before those businesses leaves much of the warehouse unused.

Buy the Nightclub after the Acid Lab, Agency, and at least one strong warehouse feeder such as the Bunker. Add technicians and storage as your linked businesses increase. Popularity work can pay the safe on its own, but a new player should not spend millions on warehouse floors and staff before there are enough goods for them to manage.
6. Motorcycle Club businesses: A Clubhouse starts at GTA$200,000, but each production property and its upgrades are separate costs. Cocaine Lockup, Methamphetamine Lab, and Counterfeit Cash Factory are the more useful Nightclub feeders. Buy them selectively, preferably during a discount week. Leaving several unupgraded Biker businesses active creates more resupply and raid management than many solo players want.
7. Money Fronts: Hands On Car Wash costs GTA$1,000,000 and must be purchased before Smoke on the Water at GTA$850,000 or Higgins Helitours at GTA$900,000. Their extra benefits connect to businesses such as Counterfeit Cash, Weed, and Air Freight Cargo. They make more sense after you already own the operations they improve. They also add Heat management, so they are not the first answer for a character who still needs basic income.
Delay cosmetic renovations, large garages, security upgrades on lightly used properties, expensive vehicles, and businesses bought only to access one mission. An Auto Shop, Salvage Yard, Arcade, Facility, or Hangar can be a good purchase when you want its specific content. None needs to interrupt this order just because an icon appears on the map.

For most players, Acid Lab, Agency, Bunker, then either Kosatka or Nightclub is the clearest purchase order.
