When is Arjun’s Street Fighter 6 release date?
Arjun releases Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Capcom gives the same date in its English announcement and Japanese press release. The date applies to every current Street Fighter 6 platform.
No launch hour has been published. Capcom has not provided a maintenance window, regional unlock schedule, download size or patch version for the update, so store countdowns should not be treated as the official timing.

Who is Arjun in Street Fighter 6?
Arjun is a former police officer from India. Capcom says he worked with a partner named Karna, whose methods often clashed with his own, but the two respected each other. After Karna was murdered, Arjun was framed for the crime and forced to live as a fugitive.
His World Tour story is built around clearing his name and finishing Karna’s investigation. Capcom has not identified the killer, the organization behind the framing or which established characters will be involved, leaving those points for the game.
The character’s fighting method is called Bare-knuckle Yoga in Capcom’s English material. He combines exceptional lung capacity with yogic breathing, heavy physical attacks and bursts of air. His Outfit 1 uses loose trousers, a red waist wrap and long hair, while the design sheet also shows the details behind his silhouette and accessories.
How does Arjun’s recoverable damage work?
Recoverable damage is gray health that slowly restores if the defender avoids another hit. If Arjun connects before it returns, the remaining gray portion is lost along with the normal damage from the new attack.
Capcom’s breakdown says many of Arjun’s specials create recoverable damage on block. That lets him make progress against a patient defender without turning every blocked move into permanent damage. The attacker still has to maintain pressure and earn the follow-up hit before the gray health recovers.
The mechanic makes blocking a temporary answer instead of a complete reset. Arjun can use a projectile or delayed pillar to occupy space, then threaten a strike, command throw or counter stance while the recoverable portion remains on the life bar.
Arjun’s special moves explained
Arm of Justice is a winding punch. Light and medium versions are safe on block, while the slower heavy version leaves Arjun with frame advantage. Its follow-up keeps that advantage, and the faster OD version is also plus on block.
Cruel Shoulder is a forward-moving tackle. Light and medium versions are unsafe when blocked; heavy and OD trade speed for a more favorable block situation. Breathing Ring creates an air ring that can become Breathing Shockwave, with its angle changing by button strength.
Divine Pillar raises a rock at a chosen distance. Holding the button delays it, only one pillar can exist, and it disappears if Arjun is hit. Cruel Shoulder can interact with the pillar to trigger Justice Beyond, where Arjun grabs the rock and swings it toward the opponent regardless of which side they occupy.
Ghastly Interrogation is a command throw that normally deals only recoverable damage, but converts existing gray health into normal damage when it connects. Indomitable Defense is a movable defensive stance that counters strikes. It can absorb projectiles without triggering the counter, and Moral Breakdown provides a forward attack from the stance.
What are Arjun’s Super Arts?
Howling Destruction is the Level 1 Super Art. It uses rapid breathing bursts, starts with invincibility and is designed to catch airborne opponents as well as reverse pressure.
Instant Oblivion is Level 2. Arjun launches the opponent and sends them across the screen, creating time to establish Divine Pillar. Yaksha’s Order is Level 3. The cinematic attack disrupts the opponent’s balance, surrounds them with visions and ends in a heavy finishing blow.
Capcom has described the intended roles of all three supers, but it has not published their frame data, damage values, meter routes or complete combo rules. Those details will require the final character guide or the playable release build.
Is Arjun included in the Street Fighter 6 Year 4 pass?
Yes. Both the Year 4 Character Pass and Year 4 Ultimate Pass unlock Arjun when he releases. Players can also buy him separately with Fighter Coins. Capcom has not announced a free unlock route for the fighter.
