Palworld 1.0 adds 13 weapons, Ancient defensive equipment, a Plasma Multicutter, and a second Extra Weapon Holster. The new recipes begin at level 17 and continue to level 80, so most players should upgrade in stages instead of saving everything for one final weapon.

The highest attack number does not always mean the best result. A shotgun, rifle, bow, launcher, and melee weapon deal damage in different ways. Range, ammunition, reload time, durability, and the enemy you are fighting all affect the choice.

Standard Weapons and Schematic Versions

Technology unlocks the normal version of a weapon. Stronger schematic versions can have better stats and different material costs. When a guide lists a very high damage number, check whether it is describing the standard craft or a rare schematic.

Version 1.0 also changed accessories. They now come from schematics found in treasure chests, Ancient Ruins, oil rigs, and other rewards. Keep schematics even when you cannot craft them yet, because their materials may belong to a later region.

Early and Midgame Equipment

  • Primitive Sword - level 17: an inexpensive early melee option. It is useful when saving ammunition, but it should not replace a reliable ranged weapon.
  • Extra Weapon Holster - level 27: adds the first extra weapon slot and gives you more room for a capture tool, melee weapon, or second gun.
  • Metal Bat - level 40: a stronger melee choice made with Hardwood and Refined Ingots.

Continue using the best bow or firearm you already own during these levels. Replacing a good schematic weapon with a normal new recipe can lower your practical damage even when the new item unlocks later.

Level 54 Upgrades Worth Crafting

  • Plasma Multicutter: cuts wood and mines ore, and it works while mounted. It reduces the number of gathering tools you carry.
  • Extra Weapon Holster 2: adds another slot and raises the total equipped weapons to six.

These two upgrades do not require Soralite or Paloxite. Crafting them before Sunreach improves normal exploration without using the rare materials needed by the late-game weapon recipes.

Soralite Weapons From Levels 67 to 73

Soralite comes from Sunreach. The first group includes the Mechanical Bow, Combat SMG, Prototype Shotgun, Heavy Assault Rifle, Enhanced Lily's Spear, Tactical Grenade Launcher, and Laser Sword.

  • Heavy Assault Rifle: a dependable general weapon when you want steady ranged damage and a normal magazine.
  • Prototype Shotgun: better for close targets and enemies that stay inside a short combat area.
  • Tactical Grenade Launcher: useful for groups and large targets, but its ammunition and durability need more attention.
  • Laser Sword: the strongest normal melee option in this Soralite group.

Choose one main firearm before spending Soralite on several weapons at once. Ancient armor also needs the same ore, and surviving a new region may improve your progress more than owning three unfinished weapon types.

Paloxite Weapons From Levels 75 to 80

Paloxite comes from the World Tree. Beam Scatter at level 75 uses both Soralite and Paloxite. Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, and Beam Launcher then require larger amounts of Paloxite and other endgame parts.

  • Plasma Rifle - level 78: a strong general endgame firearm with a normal magazine and high durability.
  • Beam Launcher - level 80: the heavy explosive choice for large damage and area coverage. It can overheat during repeated use.
  • Drone Launcher - level 77: a specialized option that also uses World Tree Holy Water, making it expensive when you are saving for Awakening.

The Wing Pack also needs Paloxite at level 80. Reserve those ingots before crafting a final weapon if independent flight is more useful to you than another damage option.

Ancient Armor and Shield

  • Ancient Helm - level 68: the standard version needs 20 Soralite Ingots and two AI Cores.
  • Ancient Armor - level 68: the standard version needs 30 Soralite Ingots and three AI Cores.
  • Ancient Shield - level 71: provides the new defensive step but requires Soralite, AI Cores, Ancient Civilization Parts, and Ancient Civilization Cores.

Ancient armor and shields use some of the same materials as late-game weapons, so plan the defensive set before spending every Soralite Ingot.

Craft the standard armor when your current set cannot handle Sunreach or the World Tree. Keep looking for stronger schematic versions, but do not delay a necessary defense upgrade while waiting for a rare drop.

A Practical Six-Slot Loadout

  • Main rifle or SMG: for steady damage during normal exploration and boss fights.
  • Shotgun or Beam Scatter: for close enemies and large targets.
  • Launcher: for groups, large enemies, and attacks that need area coverage.
  • Melee weapon: for saving ammunition and finishing weak targets.
  • Capture support: leave room for a Mercy weapon or another tool used while catching Pals.
  • Flexible slot: carry the Plasma Multicutter, a second elemental option, or equipment needed by the current region.

Repair and test each item before committing more rare materials to its schematic version. A weapon that fits your normal distance and ammunition supply is more useful than an expensive recipe that stays in storage.
