Palworld 1.0 added 72 entries to the Paldeck: 47 new Pals and 25 variants. Most can be caught in the wild, but the final group includes a roaming Pal, a required story capture, and a boss that cannot join your party.

The checklist below places each Pal in the region where players are most likely to encounter it for the first time. Some also appear elsewhere. Use the Paldeck habitat screen after your first sighting when you need a more exact spawn area.

Prepare Before You Start Catching

  • Bring many Pal Spheres: late regions need stronger sphere tiers, and catching several copies uses them quickly.
  • Prevent accidental knockouts: use the Ring of Mercy, Pal Tamer's Glasses, or a Pal with Mercy Hit when possible.
  • Carry climate protection: the route includes deserts, volcanoes, frozen mountains, Sunreach, and the World Tree.
  • Catch five copies: version 1.0 rewards the first five captures of a species with bonus experience and a Mimog Effigy.

Unlock fast-travel points as you move through each region. A flying mount saves time, but some protected islands have dangerous drones and some late Pals are strong enough to defeat an unprepared mount.

Use a Regional Search Route

Finish one region before moving to the next. Check the Paldeck after every capture, then mark that name off the list. This prevents common Pals from being mistaken for entries you still need.

Search during both day and night when a missing Pal does not appear. Resting at a bed changes the time quickly. You can also open the habitat screen for a Pal you have already seen and compare its highlighted area with your current location.

Carry enough food for the player and the active team. Return to a base after each major region to repair equipment, restock spheres, and store captured Pals before continuing.

Early and Midgame Regions

  • Windswept Hills and Moonless Shore: Pupperai, Clovee, Tanzee Ignis, Amione, Wispaw, and Muffly.
  • Bamboo Groves and Twilight Dunes: Puffolt, Elgrove, and Skutlass. Puffolt and Skutlass also appear later in Sunreach.
  • Verdant Brook and Frostbound Mountains: Leafan and Snugloo. Wear cold-resistant equipment before searching the northern mountain area.
  • Mount Obsidian: Moldron. It also appears on Bicornis Islet, but Mount Obsidian is the earlier place to find it.
  • Desiccated Dunes and nearby islets: Needoll, Gildra, Sekhmet, Tetroise, Skutlass Ignis, Pierdon, Carnibora, and Nitemary Botan.
  • Astral Mountains: Rayhound Cryst and Dualith. Both are found in a cold, high-level region.

Check the habitat and time of day when a Pal does not appear immediately. Some new Pals are easier to find in another region.

Sakurajima, Feybreak, and Sunreach

  • Sakurajima and Suncrest Islet: Bulldosu, Woolipop Terra, and Polapup Terra.
  • Feybreak islets: Prixter Lux, Smokie Cryst, and Knocklem Ignis. Search Sandstone Gate, Glacial Memento, and Bicornis islets.

Sunreach is a level 65-to-70 region reached through the portal above Feybreak Tower. The floating islands contain 16 entries, including two boss Pals. Bring a flying mount, activate fast travel, and use the purple transport points between islands.

  • Sunreach Sky Islands: Gloopie Primo, Pierdon Cryst, Valentail, Snock, Souffline, Lapiron, Hoodle, Slowatt, Bakemi, Solmora, Solmora Lux, Lapure, Eidrolon, Dynamoff, Tropicaw, and Ophydia.

Eidrolon and Ophydia are boss encounters, so prepare stronger spheres before starting those fights. Solmora Lux can also appear later at the World Tree.

The World Tree

World Tree Pals are intended for levels 75 and above. Many have strong attacks, and the area contains materials used for Paloxite equipment and Awakening. Catching while gathering saves a separate return trip.

  • Verdant Rootpath and Alluvion Lakefront: Petallia Ignis, Starryon Primo, and Shaolong.
  • Gilded City Ruins, Lacrymal Shoal, and Shinespore Root: Sibelyx Primo, Tetroise Primo, Celesdir Noct, Mycora, Loomen, Wistella, Solenne, Aegidron, and Silvance.
  • Dusty Ravine and Rotmist Root: Majex, Snock Lux, Eidrolon Ignis, Flaracle, Roujay, Venusa, Renjishi, and Dandilord.
  • Boreal Summit: Univolt Cryst, Elgrove Cryst, Beakon Cryst, Moldron Cryst, and Dualith Noct.

The World Tree contains many variants that do not appear in the earlier regions.

Use the World Tree fast-travel points instead of trying to clear the whole area in one trip. Store captured Pals and rare materials when your inventory becomes full, then return to the region you were checking.

Dupin, Panthalus, and Astralym

  • Dupin: can appear on every island, but PC Gamer found it much easier to locate inside the World Tree.
  • Panthalus: is a level 70 story boss. Complete the Sunreach tower, craft the Echoing Flute, and capture Panthalus to open the World Tree gate.
  • Astralym: is the final boss at the World Tree. It adds a Paldeck entry, but it cannot be caught and does not leave an egg.

Those three complete the 72-entry list. If your Paldeck still has a blank space, compare the missing number with the regional groups above before searching the entire map again.
