Fortnite Sprite Spree Week is over. Gem Hours ended when Chapter 7 Season 3 rolled into Override on August 20, 2026. September 5’s Cheat Master Power Hours have also ended. Mastery Mondays return September 7.
The complete order was Mythic on August 15, Galaxy on August 16, Holofoil on August 17, Cube on August 18, and Gem on August 19 through the end of the season. The daily handoffs after Mythic Hours occurred at 9 AM ET.
Sonic Power Hours were an earlier event on Saturday, August 29. It ran from 2–4 PM and 9–11 PM ET, debuted Storm Scout Sprites, and boosted Sonic, Tails, and Shadow variants.
Fortnite Sprite Schedule: Current Status
- Current status: Sprite Spree, August 29 Sonic Power Hours, and September 5 Cheat Master Power Hours have ended.
- Next dated event: Mastery Mondays return September 7, as announced in v42.10. Those notes do not specify a start time; the old 9 AM Sprite Spree reset does not establish one.

Sprite Spree was a fixed five-day collection event for Fortnite Runners, not a permanent daily rotation. Season 4 uses separate Power Hours and Mastery Mondays. Its September events are not a repeat of the August 15–19 calendar.

- Saturday, August 15 — Mythic Hours: Mythic Sprites appeared more often from 2–4 PM and again from 9–11 PM ET. The first window began alongside the Unstable Story Moment.

- Monday, August 17 at 9 AM ET — Holo Hours: Holofoil Sprites appeared more often. Equipping one also helped reveal more rare Sprites.
- Tuesday, August 18 at 9 AM ET — Cube Hours: Cube Sprites received the boost, and an equipped Cube Sprite granted Overdrive while inside the Storm.
- Wednesday, August 19 at 9 AM ET — Gem Hours: Gem Sprites appeared more often through the end of Season 3. Equipping one reduced fall damage by 30%.
- Thursday, August 20 — Override rollover: Sprite Spree Week closed when Chapter 7 Season 4 launched. Epic did not publish one universal downtime clock for every region.
The official schedule described Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube, and Gem as daily windows. Epic’s event post later confirmed the 9 AM ET handoffs, replacing the earlier estimated reset time.
Sprite Spree Reset Times by Time Zone
The four 24-hour variant windows changed at 9 AM ET. During August daylight saving time, that converted to:
- 6 AM PT
- 8 AM CT
- 9 AM ET
- 2 PM BST
- 3 PM CEST
Mythic Hours were different because they used two shorter sessions on August 15. The season-ending Gem window also stopped with the August 20 rollover rather than continuing for another full 24 hours.
What Bonuses Were Active During Sprite Spree?
Epic ran several collection boosts through the end of Season 3. They are now historical benefits and should not be expected in a normal Override match:
- Double Sprite XP: collected Sprites leveled twice as quickly.
- Free resummons: bringing an extracted Sprite back did not cost Sprite Dust during the event.
- Faster Campfire leveling: the event increased the rate at which Sprites gained levels at Campfires.
- Lucky Locator Daily Quests: the daily reward helped players search for the featured variants.
- Sprite Spree quests: one-time objectives awarded specific Sprites or Sprite Dust before the season ended.
The featured-rate boost improved the odds of seeing the named variant around the Island; it did not guarantee one in every match. Players still had to find a Sprite and extract it to add it to their collection.
All Sprite Spree Quest Rewards
The in-game quest board listed four collection rewards during the event:
- Reach the top 10 in a match: Peely Sprite.
- Eliminate 30 players: John Wick Sprite.
- Extract 20 Sprites: Zero Point Sprite.
- Extract 30 Sprites: Gem Zero Point Sprite.
Those quests belonged to the Season 3 event and are no longer an active route after the August 20 rollover. A reward earned before the deadline should remain in the collection even though the objective can no longer be completed.
What Replaced Sprite Spree in Season 4?
Fortnite Override keeps the Runners collection relevant. Epic says Season 3 Sprites can be viewed in the Sprite Garden, while a new generation of Sprites now appears on the Island.
Season 4 replaced the fixed Spree calendar with shorter Power Hours windows. Golden Hours ran on August 22. Another earlier event was Sonic Power Hours on August 29, when Storm Scout Sprites debuted and Sonic, Tails, and Shadow variants appeared more often. Sonic Power Sneakers were boosted, while 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors could appear as rare chest drops. Both sessions ended. September 5 then brought Cheat Master boosts from 2–4 PM and 9–11 PM ET. Those windows have ended too; Mastery Mondays return September 7.

What to Do If a Sprite Spree Reward Is Missing
Epic Support is investigating reports that the Zero Point or Gem Zero Point Sprite may not appear in the collection after the related quest was completed. If that happened before the event ended, check the official missing-reward notice rather than repeating the expired extraction objective.
The missing Lucky Locator problem was separate. Epic says that issue was fixed and the Gizmo was granted to affected players. The Lucky Locator support notice has the current status.
