Keep Driving reaches PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on September 28. The road-trip RPG first came to PC in February 2025. This console launch gives more players a chance to take an old car across a stylized 2000s landscape on the way to a music festival.
What do you do in Keep Driving?
You plan a route, watch your money and fuel, repair the car and decide whether to pick up hitchhikers. Stops along the road can lead to odd jobs, conversations or trouble. It is a single-player RPG, not a racing game: the story depends on the people you meet and the choices you make as much as the miles you drive.
Encounters use turn-based challenges. The skills and items you pick up can help you deal with problems on the road, while your companions bring their own stories. The pixel-art views of fields, gas stations and small towns give each stop a different feel. If you enjoyed the PC release, the console versions put that same road trip on a TV or handheld screen.
What is changing on PC?
The developer says Steam Workshop mod support enters beta on September 28. Players who want to try it must choose the beta branch on Steam; it is not being added automatically to the regular PC build. That distinction matters if you own the game already and are looking for the new mod tools.
YCJY Games also says Keep Driving has sold more than 300,000 copies. The Workshop beta and three console editions are the next big steps for a game that began on Steam. The studio has not promised that PC mods will work on consoles, so do not assume they carry over.
Which console should you check?
The confirmed launch platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation store lists a one-player version, and Xbox also describes it as single-player. Prices and local release times can vary by store and region, so check the listing for your platform. The PC version remains available on Steam.
If you are new to Keep Driving, the appeal is straightforward: you choose where to go, who joins you and how to keep the car running long enough to reach the festival. The September 28 release lets console players try that trip for themselves.
