Palworld v1.0.3 Patch Notes: Holy Water, Oil, and Jetragon Buffs

There is a useful mission fix too. A base mission that asks you to build a Crude Oil Extractor can now progress when you build the High-Pressure version instead. Endgame players no longer need to place an older machine just to clear that objective.

Jetragon gear now arrives at level 70

Some Jetragon-related technologies moved from level 79 to level 70, and the Pal Gear used to ride Jetragon now requires fewer materials. Pocketpair did not name every technology affected in the announcement, so check the Technology screen after installing v1.0.3 rather than assuming the whole Jetragon branch moved.

Level 70 is still deep into the game, but it is a meaningful difference. Players can start using one of Palworld's fastest mounts during the final leveling stretch instead of waiting until they are almost at the cap. If you are still working toward that point, the fastest route to level 80 covers the capture bonuses, bosses, and activities that give the best return.

The Aquatic Construction Kit unlocks much earlier

The Aquatic Construction Kit has moved from level 66 to level 23. Its Ancient Technology Point cost dropped from 4 to 1, while its material requirements and work amount were also adjusted.

This is one of the biggest early-game changes in the patch. Water-based building pieces are now available while many players are still shaping their first permanent base, not after most of the map and technology tree have already opened.

Pocketpair also doubled the Fiber obtained from trees. That will not replace every dedicated Fiber setup, but it makes ordinary woodcutting more useful and reduces early crafting friction.

Important progression and Pal fixes

The patch fixes a problem that could stop the Sunreach main mission if a player removed the barrier before accepting the mission. Saves affected by that order should be able to continue after updating.

Other practical fixes include:

• Summoned Pals should no longer stop fighting or helping with base work.
• Alpha Surfent should now produce Leather when assigned to a Ranch.
• Some raid boss battles should progress correctly.
• Panthalus attack effects should better match their real damage range.
• Stairs can be placed more reliably beside foundations and roofs.
• A bug that allowed certain item duplication actions was fixed.
• The Dark Skill Fruit: Psycho Gravity now appears in item search.
• Fullscreen resolution and window-mode settings should behave more consistently.

Dedicated servers also received fixes for unintended Fast Travel during Tower Boss fights, rapidly vibrating Pals on client screens, and Attack Chopper music playing from too far away.

Co-op should look and run better

Pocketpair fixed incorrect client-side lighting after cutscenes or the ending, along with stuttering during the scene that plays when entering The World Tree. A visual problem affecting Orserk and some other Partner Skills in multiplayer has also been corrected.

These do not change balance, but they address problems that made co-op sessions look broken even when the underlying skill or scene was still working.

Should you change your Palworld setup after v1.0.3?

Late-game players should check three things first: oil output, Holy Water storage, and the level-70 Technology row. Your existing base may now produce enough oil without another extractor, and Holy Water stacks that were too heavy to carry are far less restrictive.

Players below level 30 should look at the Aquatic Construction Kit and enjoy the doubled Fiber gains naturally. There is no need to restart a save to receive these changes.
