MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls supports cross-play between PlayStation 5 and PC. Friends on the two platforms can meet online, but the account and subscription requirements are different depending on where you play.
Does MARVEL Tōkon Have Cross-Play?
Yes. PlayStation lists full cross-play for PS5 and PC. Ranked Match, Casual Match, Room Match, and the online lobby connect players across both versions. Rollback netcode is also included for online fights.
An online lobby can hold up to 64 people. That number describes the shared lobby, not one fight. A match still has two players, with each person controlling a team of four characters.
Do PS5 Players Need PlayStation Plus?
PS Plus is required for online multiplayer on PS5. It is not required for the offline modes. You can play the story, train, fight the CPU, or play local Versus after buying the game without keeping an active PS Plus membership.

- PS5 online play: The game and an active PS Plus membership are required.
- PC online play: The Steam version, internet access, and a PlayStation account are required.
Which Modes Work Offline?
The confirmed offline options include Episode Mode, local Versus, CPU battles, Training Mode, and Start-Up Battle. Episode Mode is the main single-player story, while Start-Up Battle teaches the basic systems. Training Mode is available for practicing characters and team setups without entering an online match.
Local Versus supports two people on the same PS5 or PC. Both players choose four fighters and control their own full team. MARVEL Tōkon is not a four-player game where each person controls one hero.
Does the PC Version Require a PlayStation Account?
Yes. The official Steam listing says a PlayStation account is required. PC players still buy and launch the game through Steam, but they need the additional PlayStation account for supported online features.
Create or recover that account before planning an online session. It also helps to confirm that PlayStation Network services are available in your region before buying the PC version specifically for cross-play.
Is Cross-Save Supported?
Cross-save has not been confirmed on the official PlayStation or Steam pages. Cross-play only confirms that PS5 and PC users can fight together. It does not automatically mean that unlocks, rank, settings, or save data move between platforms.
If you expect to play on both PS5 and PC, choose one main platform until Sony or Arc System Works explains how progression works. Buying two copies should not be treated as confirmation that one save will work everywhere.
Can You Use an Arcade Stick or Leverless Controller?
Yes. PlayStation's beginner guide says arcade sticks and leverless controllers are supported, and the button layout can be changed in the controller settings. PC players should check that Steam recognizes the device before opening the game, especially if it uses custom drivers or a platform mode switch.
A standard PS5 or PC controller is also supported. Quick inputs are available for players who do not want to begin with traditional fighting-game motions, so special hardware is optional rather than required.
Is There a PS4, Xbox, or Switch Version?
No. The confirmed platforms are PS5 and PC. Sony and Arc System Works have not announced versions for PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or Switch 2. Cross-play therefore only covers the PS5 and PC communities.
Can You Play With a Specific Friend?
Room Match is the confirmed option for private or organized games. Both players should enable cross-play, finish any first-time account setup, and use the room tools to meet. Ranked and Casual Match are designed for matchmaking rather than a planned fight with one friend.

The game releases on August 6, 2026, for PS5 and PC. Players in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea receive it on August 7 because of regional timing.
