Kaelis: Seraph Protocol is coming to PC in 2028 with a mix of academy life, character relationships and turn-based combat. YoshiYoshi Studio revealed the sci-fantasy JRPG on September 18 and introduced Kaito, a student who becomes an Executor at Serenos Academy.
Kaito lives in Kaelis, humanity’s last city after a war destroyed the old world. The city survives through an energy called Lumina, but that same energy can become unstable and create dangerous distortions known as Noise. Executors investigate those incidents, enter affected areas and recover Noise Cores before the problem spreads.

Guardians are friends and party members
Kaito does not work alone. Serenos Academy brings together Guardians from four divisions that handle combat, evidence, support and Lumina research. The first material introduces Reina, Amane and Kotoha, each with a different look, role and set of abilities.
Conversations and time spent together can raise Kaito’s bond with a Guardian. Stronger bonds can unlock coordinated attacks, support actions and better party teamwork. The game also says choices may reveal different sides of the characters during the story.

How the turn-based battles work
Players can take up to four active party members into a fight. Every Guardian and enemy is connected to one of eight Lumina Spectrums: Ignis, Glacies, Fulgur, Terra, Lumina, Umbra, Void and Aether. The basic goal is to learn an enemy’s Spectrum and bring Guardians who can answer it.
Recovered Noise Cores also have a use back at the academy. They can support new Lumina Discs, facility upgrades and Guardian growth. The loop moves between investigation, battle and preparation instead of treating the academy as a separate menu.

The Armillary Sphere can change a case
The most unusual system is the Armillary Sphere. During important moments, the device rolls a die. Kaito’s earlier bonds, discoveries and field decisions can change the conditions of that roll, which may affect how an incident ends.

Players also choose Kaito’s responses in quieter conversations. Those choices can strengthen a friendship or change the tone of a scene. The official description does not promise a fully branching story, but it clearly says that decisions leave marks on individual cases.

Kaelis: Seraph Protocol is currently announced for PC through Steam. The store lists a broad 2028 release window, with no exact date or console versions confirmed. YoshiYoshi Studio is both the developer and publisher. The early footage already shows the main idea clearly: solve Noise cases, build a dependable team and carry those relationships into battle.
