Duskfade takes about 16 hours to find every collectible and finish all achievements, according to Weird Beluga. A published review recorded 11 hours and 13 minutes for the story at 73% completion. That is one playthrough, not a guaranteed runtime.

Your pace will depend on how often you leave the main route, how quickly the movement system clicks, and whether you stop to clear optional paths. Duskfade is built around exploration, so players who chase every rail, grapple point, and hidden platform will naturally spend longer in each area.

How long does the Duskfade story take?

In his August 13 review, David Arroyo reported finishing the story in 11 hours and 13 minutes with 73% of the game completed. This is an individual reviewer’s result, not Pixel Twelve’s own playtime or a community average.

Weird Beluga’s roughly 16-hour estimate covers all collectibles and achievements, not just the story. The two figures measure different goals. Neither sets a time limit: exploration, missed jumps, and repeated encounters can extend your run.

How long does 100% completion take?

Weird Beluga estimates about 16 hours to collect everything and finish the achievements. Treat this as the developer’s planning estimate, not a measured average or a maximum completion time.

A completion run involves more than reaching the ending. Duskfade rewards detours with Upgrade Gears, Clock Heart Pieces, secrets, and routes that are easy to miss when you follow only the most obvious path.

Our Duskfade upgrades guide explains which collectibles improve Minutero and which ones increase Zirian’s health. Knowing what you are looking for can make a cleanup run much easier.

Why your playtime may be longer or shorter

Movement skill has a bigger effect than it first appears. A player who quickly learns to combine double jumps, dashes, grapples, glides, and rails will cross areas faster and recover from missed jumps more often.

If traversal is slowing you down, the Duskfade movement guide breaks the chain into smaller parts so you can practice each one before putting them together.

Difficulty also changes the pace. Repeating combat encounters or boss fights adds time, while a lower setting can keep the adventure moving if you are mainly interested in the story and platforming. Exploring every side route will add time too, but those detours often give you upgrades that make later sections smoother.

How large is Duskfade?

The full game has four worlds. Each world contains two or three unique biomes along with common biomes, according to the official pre-launch FAQ. That structure gives the game room to change its scenery without stretching the adventure into a huge open world.

This is a focused action platformer rather than an endless service game. The 16-hour completion estimate makes it long enough for secrets and optional routes while still being manageable for players who do not want a fifty-hour commitment.

Does demo progress carry over?

No. Everyone starts the full game from the beginning, even if they completed the public demo. Weird Beluga said the launch version includes added content and polish that the team wants players to experience from the start.

The demo still helps because the movement and combat practice carries over to you, even when the save file does not. You will already understand how to chain traversal moves and how Minutero handles in close combat.

Is there Duskfade DLC or a post-game?

No DLC has been confirmed. The developer said it has ideas, but any expansion depends on how the launch goes and what is practical for the team. Buy the game for the adventure available now, not for content that may or may not arrive later.

The best estimate before starting

Use the story result as one example and the developer’s 16-hour figure to plan a collectible-focused run. Leave extra time if you want to explore without a guide or replay difficult sections.

Finishing the story and completing every achievement are different stopping points. Choose which one you want before comparing your time with a completion estimate.
