Wrath is the final fight in the current Duskfade demo. The boss is faster than the enemies on the road to Mount Cinder and punishes players who keep attacking after their safe opening has ended. You do not need a complicated build to win. You need to recognize three normal attacks and react quickly when Wrath moves to the center of the arena.
This guide contains spoilers for the end of the demo. The full game may change the fight when Duskfade launches, so the instructions below apply to the public Steam and PlayStation 5 demo available now.
Prepare Before Entering the Arena
Make sure you understand the hook-shot before starting the fight. Arpeggio gives Zirian this gadget on the way to Mount Cinder, and the boss uses it as part of the main mechanic. Practice moving between nearby hook points until you can do it without stopping to search for the prompt.
Use a healing refill if one is available before the arena. The demo also offers four difficulty settings. Lowering the difficulty is a reasonable choice if you want to learn the attack pattern without restarting several times.

Wrath's Lunge
Wrath can close the distance with a fast lunge. Keep enough space to see the attack begin, then dodge away from its path. Do not immediately run back in if Wrath is still moving. Wait until the motion ends, land a short attack chain, and move out before the next action starts.
The lunge becomes harder to read when the camera is close to Wrath. Pull the camera back when you can and avoid fighting at the edge of the arena, where the angle can hide part of the wind-up.
Slams and Projectiles
The slam punishes anyone standing beside Wrath for too long. When the boss raises its body or arms for a heavy hit, stop attacking and create distance. Move back in only after the impact. Trying to finish one more swing is one of the easiest ways to lose health.
Wrath also fires projectiles as a spread or a short burst. Watch the spacing instead of looking only at the boss. Move through an open part of the pattern and keep your next dodge available. If you are already far away, there is no need to rush toward Wrath while the projectiles are still crossing the arena.

Interrupt the Center Attack
After Wrath loses enough health, it jumps to the center, raises part of the arena, and begins charging a stronger attack. This is not a phase where you should wait on the ground. Look around the outer edge for hook-shot points and use them to move across the raised platforms.
Follow the hook points until you reach Wrath, then attack to knock the boss down and cancel the charge. Focus on reaching the center instead of collecting anything or fighting the camera. Missing one hook point can leave you too far away to interrupt the attack in time.
A Simple Fight Plan
- Keep Wrath in view and leave space to read the lunge.
- Use short attack chains after a lunge or slam ends.
- Move through the open part of the projectile pattern instead of rushing forward.
- Look for the outer hook points as soon as Wrath jumps to the center.
- Reach the boss and attack before the charged move finishes.
The fight may take a few attempts because it asks you to use combat and traversal at the same time. Once the center phase is clear, the rest is a matter of staying patient and repeating the safe openings. Wrath has quick attacks, but every hit does not need an immediate answer.
