Transport Fever 3 launches September 29 on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Urban Games’ new single-player transport management game lets you move people and goods by road, rail, sea and air. It is available to pre-order now, but it is not playable yet.
The game starts with older vehicles and lets you build toward modern trains, trucks, ships, planes and helicopters. You earn money from deliveries, but every route also has running costs. A line that looks busy will still need the right passengers or cargo to pay for itself.
What changes when a town grows
Growing towns need more than a fast train. They need goods delivered on time and good ways for residents to travel. Traffic, noise and pollution can become problems as your network expands. Urban Games says the new interface helps you spot those problems before you decide where to build next.
The Steam listing promises more than 275 vehicles covering over 125 years of transport. You can lay roads and tracks, run shipping routes, build airports, and connect industries to towns. The game also adds offshore work such as fishing grounds and oil platforms.
Campaign, tycoon or sandbox
There are three main ways to play. Tycoon mode makes you manage the company and its growing costs. The campaign has transport missions based on historical events. Sandbox mode lets you build without the same money pressure. Difficulty settings can change how strongly traffic, pollution and town reputation affect your game.
A map editor and in-game mod browser are also planned. Steam lists the game as single-player; Urban Games has said it has no plans to add multiplayer. That matters if you were hoping to share one network with a friend.
Editions and platforms
The standard PC edition is listed at $49.99 in the US on Steam. A Deluxe Edition adds vehicles, landmarks, wildlife and three handcrafted maps. Paradox also announced a physical Collector’s Edition. Prices and offers can differ by platform and region, so check the store you use before buying.
Transport Fever 2 owners can get a 10% loyalty discount on a same-platform pre-order or purchase during the first 14 days after launch, according to Paradox. The game launches September 29. The gameplay video on this page shows the routes and menus.
