The FUT Gallery is EA FC 27's new collection system for Player Items that have passed through your Ultimate Team club. Complete themed Sets, grade them with stronger or rarer cards, raise your Gallery Level, and earn cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, Hall of FUT items, and other rewards. An item can still count after you sell it or submit it into an SBC, so the Gallery is built around your club's history, not only your current storage.

The system looks like a sticker album mixed with long-term account progression. It rewards collectors, but it does not force you to keep every card forever. The important decisions are which items you record in each Set, when you regrade it, and whether a Tag bonus is worth more than simply using the highest OVR cards you own.

  • Gallery Sets collect Player Items around themes such as leagues, nations, clubs, and campaigns.
  • Set Grades score a completed Set based on the value and rarity of its cards.
  • Tags add score bonuses for specific combinations such as Team of the Week or First Owner items.
  • Gallery Level tracks your long-term progress across completed and improved Sets.
  • Gallery Tokens can be spent in a dedicated store on identity rewards and Hall of FUT items.
  • Holographic Items are visually rarer versions of special cards with the same in-match attributes.
  • Sold and submitted cards can remain recorded and continue contributing to Gallery Sets.

EA confirmed all of these systems in the official FC 27 FUT Deep Dive, published on August 2, 2026.

Most Player Items earned through Packs, the Transfer Market, Objectives, SBCs, and other Ultimate Team rewards can become part of the Gallery. The record stays attached to your club history even if the physical card is no longer in your active club.

  • Eligible: most normal Player Items, Campaign Items, Heroes, ICONs, and eligible Holographic versions.
  • Not eligible: Loan Items.
  • Evolution Items: the Gallery records the original base Item from before it entered an Evolution.
  • Sold cards: still count after leaving through the Transfer Market.
  • SBC submissions: still count after being submitted into an SBC.

This means you do not need to turn the club into permanent storage just to protect Gallery progress. Once an eligible item has passed through the club, its record can keep helping. EA has not said that simply adding a card to a Gallery Set consumes it.

A Gallery Set is a themed collection with a fixed group of slots. Themes can cover nations, leagues, clubs, campaigns, rarities, or custom ideas. You can place items manually or use autocomplete when you want the game to fill available slots quickly.

The official example shows a Bundesliga Set requiring 11 items. Completing the slots makes the Set ready to grade. That first grade is not permanent: you can return later, replace weaker cards, and regrade the collection when you have better special items.

Custom Sets serve a different purpose. They let you display players or themes that matter to you, while structured progression Sets are the main route for improving Gallery Level and earning defined rewards.

How Set Grades and scoring work

Every Player Item has a score value. Higher OVR cards and special versions generally add more points than lower-rated base cards. When the Set is complete, the combined Item score and any bonus conditions produce a grade.

  • Higher OVR usually contributes more base score.
  • Special cards can improve the score compared with a normal version.
  • Holographic cards contribute more than their standard counterparts.
  • Tags add a separate bonus for matching the requested combination.
  • Regrading lets you improve the result after replacing cards.

The grade screen separates Base Grade from Bonus Grade. That matters because a lower-rated card can sometimes be useful if it activates a strong Tag. Do not judge a Set only by the OVR number at the top of each card.

How Tags can improve a Set Grade

Tags reward combinations of item properties inside a Set. EA's screenshots show examples such as First Owner, Team of the Week, Same League, Different Nation, Different Club, and Same Nation. A Tag can require a minimum number of matching items, then increase its bonus as you add more.

This creates a simple optimization choice: use the most valuable individual cards, or swap in cards that activate a larger Tag bonus. The best answer depends on the score preview. Build the Set, compare eligible cards, and regrade only when the total moves enough to reach the next reward threshold.

Because Tags use card properties rather than chemistry, they are separate from normal squad building. They affect the Gallery score, not how the player performs in a match.

Completing and improving Sets raises the overall Gallery Level. It is a second progression path beside building the competitive squad. Gallery Level milestones can grant larger rewards, while individual Set grades can award cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, and other items.

  • Set rewards: cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, and additional rewards tied to the grade.
  • Gallery Level rewards: larger milestone rewards, including opportunities for Holographic Items.
  • Gallery Token Store: kits, badges, club-identity rewards, and Hall of FUT Player Items.
  • Seasonal updates: EA says the Token Store will evolve during the year.

Hall of FUT is a new historical Player Item class for community favorites who are not traditional ICONs. EA has already revealed Adebayo Akinfenwa, Marouane Fellaini, Loic Remy, Eljero Elia, and Giovani dos Santos in the inaugural Hall of FUT group. More inductees and Gallery Store details will arrive closer to launch.

What are Holographic and Pristine Holographic Items?

Holographic Items are rarer visual versions of eligible special Player Items. They have premium presentation effects and add more Gallery score, but their player attributes and in-match performance are exactly the same as the standard version.

  • Regular Holographic: uses an animated foil effect.
  • Pristine Holographic: adds a more premium design, including a stylized player name.
  • Only one Holographic version: an eligible card receives either Regular or Pristine, not both.
  • No gameplay boost: the Attributes remain the same as the standard card.
  • More collection value: the Holographic version contributes more to Set score and can be shown in the Gallery Hub.

Treat these cards as collector variants, not hidden pay-to-win upgrades. Their higher Gallery score can help with rewards, but buying one solely for better match performance would be a mistake.

No. The Gallery records and grades a collection, while SBCs exchange cards for a reward. FC 27 also adds Streamlined SBCs, where eligible items contribute score toward a target instead of forcing you to solve every chemistry, position, and squad-rating requirement at once.

Streamlined SBCs allow duplicate submissions and partial progress. You can submit some items, return later, and finish the remaining score. Traditional SBCs will still exist for puzzle-style Challenges. Since submitted cards can remain in the Gallery record, the two systems are designed to work together rather than compete for the same physical card forever.

  1. Open every structured Set early. Learn which leagues, nations, clubs, and campaign types need records.
  2. Use autocomplete for the first completion. A low initial grade is better than leaving an easy Set unfinished.
  3. Check Tags before using the highest OVR cards. A bonus combination may add more total score.
  4. Sell or submit cards normally after they are recorded. You do not need to keep every eligible item in storage.
  5. Regrade only when it matters. Save time by waiting until replacements can reach the next grade or reward.
  6. Spend Gallery Tokens deliberately. The store will change during the season, so do not assume the first reward is the best one.
  7. Keep Holographic cards that support useful Sets. Their extra score is more valuable when it helps reach a milestone.

The collection and progression system is part of Football Ultimate Team, but the full 3D Gallery Hub environment is limited to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. EA specifically lists those platforms for the room where favorite Sets and Player Items appear as physical displays.

PS4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch versions are still part of the FC 27 release, but players on those systems should not expect the same 3D Hub presentation. EA has not said that the underlying Sets, grading, or reward progression is removed from those versions.

FC 27 Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Edition early access begins September 18, 2026, while the worldwide launch is September 25. EA says the FUT launch rollout begins on September 18. The official editions guide explains the early-access window and included rewards.
