Who is Yuriko Oyama in Marvel Comics?
Yuriko Oyama is the daughter of Kenji Oyama, the criminal scientist known as Lord Dark Wind. He develops a method for bonding Adamantium to human bone. Yuriko later pursues Wolverine because she believes his metal skeleton is connected to her father’s work.
Yuriko trains in martial arts and samurai combat, initially fights with a sword, and turns against her abusive father. After his apparent death, she becomes determined to preserve his work. Learning that Logan has an Adamantium skeleton gives her a target.

Yuriko makes a deal through Donald Pierce and the Reavers, a group of cybernetic mercenaries closely tied to Wolverine’s history. The transformation is performed with technology associated with Spiral. It replaces much of Yuriko’s human body, reinforces her skeleton with Adamantium, and turns her fingers into extendable claws.
