Humble Choice has gone unusually big for August 2026. The new lineup includes Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Dead Cells with The Bad Seed DLC, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Ultimate Edition, plus five smaller games covering deckbuilding, action RPGs, roguelikes, and strategy.
The price is $14.99 for the month. Humble lists all eight games as Steam deliveries, and its membership page says subscribers own the month's games rather than losing access when the lineup changes. You can also skip a month or cancel the subscription.
If you only need the short answer: August is worth considering if you do not already own at least two of the three headliners. Like a Dragon alone normally carries a $69.99 list price, while Dead Cells and TMNT are easy games to recommend to very different types of players.

The three games that carry the bundle
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the main attraction
Infinite Wealth is the biggest game in the package by both price and scale. It sends Ichiban Kasuga to Hawaii while also giving longtime series lead Kazuma Kiryu a major role. Battles use a flexible turn-based system, but much of the appeal comes from the characters, side stories, and absurd minigames packed around the main plot.
This is not a short weekend game. It is a long RPG made for players who want to settle into a story and spend time exploring. Newcomers can follow the immediate plot, although the emotional weight lands better if you already know Ichiban and Kiryu.
The Humble version is a Windows Steam key for the standard game. It does not include the paid Master Vacation Bundle or other premium-edition extras.
Dead Cells is the safest action pick
Dead Cells is built for quick runs, sharp combat, and constant experimentation. You explore a changing castle, collect weapons and upgrades, fight bosses, and start again when a run ends. Progress is not only about permanent unlocks; learning enemy patterns and discovering strong weapon combinations is a large part of the loop.
August's package includes The Bad Seed DLC, which adds two early-game biomes and a boss. That makes this a better starting package than receiving only the base game. Humble displays a 97% positive Steam rating for the included game, the strongest rating shown across this month's lineup.
TMNT is the easiest game to share
Shredder's Revenge recreates the speed and color of classic Turtles arcade games without feeling trapped in the past. The controls are simple enough for a quick local session, while combos, character differences, and harder modes give returning players more to learn.
The Ultimate Edition is important. This is not just the base release: it includes the added playable characters and modes from the Dimension Shellshock and Radical Reptiles content. If you want a game for co-op nights, this is the clearest pick in the bundle.
Which smaller games are worth trying?
The remaining five games are not filler, but they appeal to narrower tastes.
Decktamer is the first one to try if you enjoy Slay the Spire-style planning but want a more unusual party system. Monsters you defeat can be captured as cards, and losing one can remove it from your run. That creates more attachment to individual cards than a normal deckbuilder.
Conquest Dark fits players who want fast action and steady upgrades. It uses a survivor-like structure with large groups of enemies, different classes, weapons, and magical abilities. Humble currently shows a 92% positive Steam rating.
Gatekeeper makes more sense with friends. Its artifact combinations and team attacks are designed for repeated runs, although it can also be played alone.
Pile Up! is the calmer option. Instead of managing a traditional flat city, you stack buildings and react to limited space. It is a good change of pace between the bundle's larger action games.
Dark Envoy is for players who like building a full party and adjusting difficulty. Its combat can be played in real time or slowed down for more deliberate decisions. It is also the most divisive game in the set, with Humble showing a 69% positive Steam rating, so it should be treated as a bonus rather than the reason to subscribe.
Is Humble Choice August 2026 worth it?
For most players, the decision comes down to ownership and genre preference.
It is a strong buy if:
- You want Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and do not own it.
- You would play both Dead Cells and TMNT.
- You enjoy trying smaller roguelikes and strategy games.
- You prefer Steam keys you can add to your account over a rotating catalog.
It is easier to skip if:
- You already own two or three of the headliners.
- You are not interested in long RPGs, roguelikes, or arcade action.
- Your backlog is already full and the smaller games would stay unplayed.
- You only want temporary access to a much larger library.
At $14.99, the bundle costs about 21% of Infinite Wealth's official $69.99 list price. Even after accounting for normal PC discounts, one headliner plus a second game can justify the month. Buying it only for the idea of “saving $200” is a weaker reason.
If you are comparing monthly offers, the PlayStation Plus August 2026 lineup is a different kind of deal because access depends on an active PlayStation subscription. PC players may also want to check whether they qualify for the 13 Ubisoft games offered to some Xbox owners on PC before spending more on their backlog.
Platforms, keys, and the redemption deadline
All eight games are delivered through Steam. Every game supports Windows. Dead Cells also lists macOS and Linux support through Humble, while TMNT lists Linux support.
Humble places the same warning on all eight games: redeem each key before March 1, 2027. Do not buy the bundle and leave the keys untouched for months. Reveal and redeem them while the account, purchase receipt, and game list are easy to check.
The membership page also includes a one-month IGN Plus offer with a separate September 1, 2026 redemption date. That perk is not one of the eight games and may require a payment method for the account after the free period, so read its terms before activating it.
