- Black Limited Edition: dark outer shell with a nightlife theme. It is the harder version to buy in Direct markets because Sony limits it to PlayStation Direct there.
- White Limited Edition: bright outer shell with a daytime Vice City theme. It has wider retail distribution through Direct and participating stores.
Sony has not announced a performance difference, extra button, changed battery specification or separate feature set between the two colors. Both are standard DualSense wireless controllers with a limited-edition GTA VI design.
