Sony has revealed two limited-edition DualSense controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI. The black and white designs go on sale November 19, the same day GTA VI is scheduled to launch on PS5, and pre-orders open September 10.

Both controllers cost $84.99 in the United States. They use the regular DualSense hardware, but their finishes and details are built around Vice City’s bright days and neon-heavy nights.

Two colors, one Vice City look

The Black Limited Edition leans into Vice City after dark. The White Limited Edition is meant to suggest the city at daybreak, with white surfaces and pastel colors. Both have a shimmering finish that shifts through sunset and neon-inspired hues instead of staying one flat color.

The designs also include molded palm-tree details on the grips and official GTA VI branding on the touchpad. Those details are physical parts of the shell, not stickers that can be removed. The black controller is the louder collector piece; the white one is the cleaner display option.

What changes when you play GTA VI?

The controllers do not add a new mode or exclusive mission. They are themed versions of the PS5 DualSense, so the main hardware features stay the same. Sony says GTA VI will use the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to make Jason and Lucia’s action feel more immediate in your hands.

That means the custom design is the reason to buy one, not a special gameplay advantage. Players who already own a DualSense should expect the same basic controls, while collectors get a controller that looks like it belongs beside the game’s Vice City setting.

Pre-orders open September 10

In the United States, pre-orders begin September 10 at 7 a.m. Pacific time and 10 a.m. Eastern time through PlayStation Direct. Pre-orders in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg start at 10 a.m. local time.

The White Limited Edition will be sold in limited quantities through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers around the world. The Black Limited Edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct where that store operates, with select retailers handling other regions. Sony says exact timing and stock can vary by country.

The launch price is $84.99 in the United States, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the United Kingdom, and ¥12,480 in Japan, with local tax rules applying where noted. The controller is sold separately; Sony’s announcement does not describe a game bundle.

They arrive with GTA VI

The timing makes the controllers part of the GTA VI launch build-up rather than a later piece of merchandise. Grand Theft Auto VI is currently set for November 19 on PS5, so both designs arrive when players are finally entering Leonida and meeting Jason and Lucia.

For most players, the choice will come down to color and availability. The black model has the stronger nightlife look, while the white model is easier to match with a light PS5 setup. Either one turns a standard DualSense into a GTA VI display piece, but neither replaces the game or changes what is included in it.

The new controllers are a small reveal next to GTA VI itself, but they give fans one more launch-day decision: play with the regular pad, or try to grab a limited Vice City version before it sells out.
