Overview

Find the blue inn at Moosewood, ask the Inn Keeper for the price, and confirm the 35C$ stay to set your spawn. Here is how to recognize him and avoid paying twice.

Before you pay: check which island you want

An Inn Keeper changes your spawn point for 35C$, the money you earn in Fisch. You do not need Robux for this. The payment is made through his dialogue; simply walking into the inn does not save the location.

New players already start at Moosewood. If that is still your spawn, there is no need to pay just because you found the inn. The steps below also help you set Moosewood again after choosing a different island.

Short on C$? Use the first-sale guide to sell a catch without losing fish you are keeping.

1. Walk from the docks to the blue house

From Moosewood's docks, walk up the sandy slope into the village. Look for the small red shop with a pale blue fish sign over its open counter. That is the Merchant's hut. The inn is the cyan-blue wooden house next to it, on your right when you face the two buildings from the path.

Go through the blue house's full-height open doorway. Do not use the red shop's counter: the Merchant sells your fish, but does not change your spawn.

2. Find the bearded Inn Keeper inside

Inside, look for the smiling man with round glasses, brown hair, a full beard, a white shirt and a dark vest. He stands by the wooden counter. Check that the interaction prompt names the Inn Keeper, not the Merchant or Appraiser.

Walk close enough for his interaction prompt to appear. On PC, use the key shown in that prompt to start the conversation. The reply should welcome you to the inn. If no prompt appears, move closer to the person rather than clicking the bed or the wall.

3. Ask how much the stay costs

In the dialogue choices, select How much is it to stay here? Read the full line before choosing it. Nevermind ends the conversation without buying the stay.

The Inn Keeper then asks for 35C$. This is the price check, not the saved-spawn confirmation. If you do not have enough money or do not want this island, choose Nevermind.

4. Confirm the stay and read his reply

After the 35C$ offer, select Sure, i'll stay here! This is the choice that pays the Inn Keeper and sets the spawn at this location. Look for his Thank you! Enjoy your stay! reply.

Do not buy another stay just to check. The game can let you pay again even when this location is already set. If you later want another island as your spawn, find its Inn Keeper or Beach Keeper and read that location's welcome message before accepting the price.

If you cannot change the spawn

If the dialogue still shows the price offer, you have not reached the confirmation yet. Choose the stay line only when you want to pay. If he refuses the payment, read the reply and make sure you have at least 35C$.

If you are speaking to the fish seller, leave that dialogue and enter the blue house next door. Some other islands use a Beach Keeper outside instead of an inn building; the name and the stay offer matter more than finding a bed.

Choosing a spawn is not a way to travel to an island you have not reached. You must visit its keeper first. To leave Moosewood by boat, use the boat guide below; paying for a room does not buy or spawn a boat.

For travel, see how to buy and spawn your first Fisch boat. For rods, quests and more help, return to the Fisch game hub.
