Overview

A visual PC guide to normal Enchant Relics: Merlin, the Statue of Sovereignty, Cole’s lift, rod selection and the nighttime altar.

Before you start

This walkthrough uses English menus and default PC keyboard controls. You need one normal Enchant Relic, the rod you want to change, an owned boat, and 400 C$ for Cole’s single-trip lift token. C$ is Fisch’s in-game money, not Robux. Spawning a boat through the Shipwright requires Level 5; buying a Relic from Merlin requires Level 30.

Enchanting adds a random effect to the selected rod. A new roll uses up one Relic and replaces the previous normal enchantment. There is no button in this method that lets you pick a guaranteed result. Keepers Altar only enchants at night, so do not spend another Relic just because you arrived during daylight.

1. Get the normal Enchant Relic

Look for a thick grey stone block with a glowing cyan arch and a small cyan diamond. The picture below identifies the normal Enchant Relic. This guide is not the separate Sovereign Relic process.

If you already have that item, skip to the boat route. To buy one at Level 30 or above, travel to Sunstone Island: tall rocks around a central dock. Find the wooden ladder leading up from the lower dock to upper Sunstone. At the top, look outside the unfinished wooden building for Merlin, the NPC with a black pointed hat, silver beard and black robes. He is outside the building site, not in the old indoor shack location.

Use Merlin’s nearby conversation prompt. Choose “I need power.”, then 1 Relic (11,000 C$). That choice buys the normal Relic; do not confuse it with a different blessing or shop option.

Below Level 30, Merlin’s purchase route is not available. Normal Enchant Relics can also be caught while fishing, but they are rare; fishing is not a quick, guaranteed replacement for buying one.

2. Take an owned boat to the stone fishing statue

At Moosewood’s beach docks, find the Shipwright: a long-haired NPC in a white sailor hat with a blue band, a white shirt and dark suspenders. A hammer and the Shipwright label help identify the right person. This route starts with a boat you already own.

Use the Shipwright’s conversation prompt and choose “I’d like to see my ships!” In Boats, select an owned boat and its Spawn control, then board the boat that appears by the dock. Do not buy an expensive boat just for this trip.

The Statue of Sovereignty is the rocky island north of Moosewood, recognizable by a huge grey fisherman holding a rod over his shoulder. The red scarf makes the statue easy to pick out. At the shoreline, find the wooden ladder shown below. Climb it and enter the mine entrance with bright blue vertical beams. You are looking for a mine, not a pedestal out on the shore.

3. Find Cole and ride the lift down

Follow the mine to its end. Find Cole: white helmet, round headlamp, dark beard, white shirt and dark suspenders. The cage lift is directly behind him. The 400 C$ single-trip token is enough for this visit; the 100,000 C$ permanent option is not needed for a first enchantment.

Use Cole’s conversation prompt and buy the 400 C$ Elevator Token. Then use the nearby lift’s interaction prompt to ride down. Do not jump into the shaft: falling down it can kill the character. At the bottom, stay on the stone path; the water around the altar is dangerous.

4. Equip the rod first, then hold the Relic

Press N to open Equipment Bag, or select the Equipment Bag item in the bottom bar. Its icon is an olive tackle box with fishing gear sticking out, not a cloth backpack. In Fishing Rods, use the Search Rods box at the top to find your rod. On that rod’s card, select Equip at the bottom. The narrow bait column on the right is not where you choose a rod.

Next press G to open Inventory. Use its top search field to find Enchant Relic, then select the tile showing the grey block and cyan mark. Check that the character now holds the Relic. The rod chosen in Equipment Bag stays equipped; holding the Relic does not mean you should Equip a different rod.

Fisch Fishing Rods search and Equip button, then Inventory search for the thick grey cyan-marked Enchant Relic.

5. Use the central altar at night and check the result

At the bottom of the lift, find the raised eight-sided stone platform. Its central pedestal is the Keepers Altar. When the game is in its nighttime period, move onto that platform with the normal Enchant Relic visible in your hand. Use the key or button shown by the altar’s interaction prompt beside the pedestal. This is an interaction with the altar in the cave, not a code or shop menu.

Original Pixel Twelve action diagram: use the central altar prompt at night while holding a normal Enchant Relic. The result label is an example location, not a promised enchantment.

The Relic is consumed for one random normal-enchantment roll. Check the rod’s new colored enchantment name in its equipment details; when the rod is equipped, enchantment information also appears above the bottom item bar. The diagram’s “Enchantment name” is a location example, not a reward you are guaranteed to receive. Use the same lift to return to the surface.

If the result is not what you expected

Nothing happens in daylight: wait for the game’s nighttime period. Extra Relics do not bypass that requirement.

The wrong rod changed: Equipment Bag → Fishing Rods → Equip decides which rod receives the roll. A rod merely visible in Inventory is not enough; check the chosen card before the next use.

The game adds Power instead: a Keeperbound rod uses normal Enchant Relics to gain Power rather than roll a new normal enchantment. Bound rods can have dormant enchantments until released. Do not keep feeding Relics into that state expecting this guide’s normal result.

You got an effect you do not want: another normal roll needs another Relic and can replace the current effect. Stop and check the new effect before paying for repeated attempts.
