Choose an area you can reach with your current equipment. Spending more on bait, totems and appraisals can raise the sale total while reducing your actual profit, so compare earnings after those costs. Your rod and active weather also affect how many fish you can land.

  • Reliable progression: use Enchanted Crevice after unlocking the route through Sovereignty Mines.
  • Event farming: use Brine Pool during a Brine Storm when the area and weather are available.

Castaway Cliffs is a practical starting point because it does not require a late-game rod or a rare weather event. Current community value tables list the Great Goldcursed Shark as one of the better catches in the area. Exact sale prices still depend on weight and mutations, so treat any number from an online table as a reference, not a guaranteed payment.

Enchanted Crevice is a better long-session option once the route is open. One July 23 test reported more than three million C$ from 88 fish, but that result used a top rod, Aurora, potions, pets, and value bonuses. Ordinary players should expect less. The test is still useful because it shows how much gear and active bonuses affect farming results.

How to reach the Enchanted Crevice

  1. Travel to the Statue of Sovereignty at GPS (20, 160, -1040). Climb the ladder and enter the cave.
  2. Find the elevator operator and take the side passage beside the elevator. Follow the cave path into the Enchanted Crevice.
  3. Fish the glowing purple pool with a rod you can control comfortably. You do not need a special rod or enchantment just to fish here.

For targeted catches, Adumbral Shark prefers Fish Head, while Sovereign Oarfish prefers Truffle Worm. Their time, weather and season preferences also matter. Use the Fisch bait guide to choose bait for your goal rather than spending premium bait on every cast.

Living Garden remains useful, but older guides can be misleading after its July 25 changes. Do not buy a large amount of one bait because an older video calls it the best method. Check the current fish preferences in the Bestiary first. Brine Pool can pay very well during a Brine Storm, while the Forsaken Shores waterfall is another option for players targeting Pirate Captain's Goldfish during the correct time and season.

Compare routes by running each one for the same amount of time. Record the C$ earned after bait and appraisal costs, then keep the route that produces the best result with the gear already owned. A short personal test is more reliable than a video made with different rods, bonuses, or event conditions.

Sell More Without Losing Important Fish

Most C$ comes from selling fish to a Merchant. Weight, species value, and mutations can make one catch worth much more than another. Before using Sell All, favorite quest fish, rare mutations, and anything needed for a Bestiary or rod requirement. Selling the wrong fish can add another long fishing session to a quest.

Treasure Appraisal costs 1,000C$. It can improve a valuable catch, but it can also produce a poor result, including a 0.5x weight outcome. Appraise fish that are already valuable enough to justify the risk. Repeatedly appraising ordinary catches usually spends money faster than it creates profit.

Perfect catches add 10C$, which is useful over time but too small to build a full farming plan around. Dying removes 10% of the player's C$, capped at 2,000C$, so carrying a large balance is not as dangerous as it once was. It is still worth buying the planned upgrade before taking unnecessary risks in a difficult area.

How to set up Aquarium income

The Personal Aquarium produces C$, XP and items during online and offline play. Use it alongside active fishing, and check its displayed earnings before choosing which catches to keep.

  1. At level 25, open the Aquariums tab near the Menu button. Hold a fish you want to display and select an empty slot to place it.
  2. Fill the slots with different valuable species. Compare the income shown in the Aquarium; repeat copies of one species have reduced output.
  3. Collect the rewards regularly and replace weaker fish as your collection improves. Check the displayed return before buying fish food so its cost does not erase the extra income.

Spend C$ on Progress, Not Random Purchases

Set one target before farming: a rod, a quest item, bait, or access to a new area. Stop when that target is affordable. Buying small upgrades between every session delays the larger purchase that would improve catch speed, luck, control, or access.

Use the Fisch Rod Tier List to compare current upgrades before spending a large balance. The best purchase is the rod that improves the activity you are actually doing, not always the most expensive rod in the shop.

For most players, a good routine is short and repeatable: collect the Aquarium, choose one accessible fishing area, use affordable bait, favorite important catches, sell the rest, and stop when the planned upgrade is ready. Late-game event routes can pay more, but a route that works every session is easier to use and easier to improve.
