For free Keys in Roblox RIVALS, finish the 18 one-time Beginner Task Keys first, then complete the Daily Tasks for six Keys per set in Update 22. Stack unfinished weapon or map Contracts with those matches, and use Bonus Tasks until their daily limits are reached.
Arcade task progress is back in Update 22. You can advance tasks there again, but the changed Bonus Tasks have daily completion limits. Check the task card before starting a long farming session.
Keys unlock ordinary weapons and skins. They are separate from Glory, Pearls, and Robux, so earning one of those currencies does not increase the normal Key balance.
Fastest Free Key Routine
- New account: finish every Beginner Task once for 18 Keys.
- Start with daily wins: match wins can also advance your duel and elimination objectives.
- Equip an unfinished contract weapon: its playtime and elimination objectives can advance during the same matches.
- Check the current map contract: only chase it when its objective fits the daily route.
- Continue with Bonus Tasks: check the remaining completions on each card before grinding further.
- Collect extras: claim Login Rewards at the bottom of the Daily Shop, then check free Season Pass rewards, eligible video-ad offers, and codes the game still accepts.
This order favors guaranteed progress first. Codes and ads can disappear or vary by account, while the task cards show the objectives that are available to the player right now.
Get 18 Keys From Beginner Tasks
Beginner Tasks are available once on a new account. The nine listed rewards add up to 18 Keys, and most of them teach movement, shooting, or the basic duel loop.
- Shooting Range: visit it for one Key and break five targets for another Key.
- Movement: slide three times for one Key, equip the Scythe for two, and use its dash three times for two.
- Utility: throw a Grenade for two Keys.
- First matches: play one duel for three Keys, eliminate five players for three, and win one duel for three.
Keep the free Assault Rifle while completing these objectives. Buying a costly Primary before filling the other loadout slots can spend the entire starter balance without solving a useful weakness.
Daily Tasks Give Six Keys in Update 22
The Update 22 Daily Tasks panel shows one Key for playing five duels, two Keys for 15 eliminations, and three Keys for winning duels. Complete the three cards for six Keys. Contract rewards and random Prize Wheel rewards are separate from that total.
Work on wins first so the same matches also advance the duel and elimination counters. Check the objective and reward shown on each current card, then finish whichever counter is still incomplete.
Do not spend Robux on a task refresh if you want a free route. Update 22 replaced Task Streaks with permanent Daily Task reward progress, so missing a day no longer resets that progress.

Bonus Tasks Have Daily Limits
Bonus Tasks follow the daily objectives. Update 22 made some Bonus Tasks easier but limited those changed tasks to three completions each per day. Read each card for its current target, Key reward, and remaining completions.
- Play-duel tasks: choose matches that also advance another unfinished objective.
- Elimination tasks: use a weapon with an unfinished elimination Contract to work on both counters.
- Win tasks: check the daily limit before committing to more matches for that reward.
Do not treat Bonus Tasks as an unlimited Key supply. Once a card reaches its daily cap, additional matches will not earn that task reward again until it becomes available.
The Update 21 Arcade restriction is no longer current: Update 22 restored task progress in Arcade Servers. Check a counter after one match so you can confirm that the selected mode and objective are progressing.
Stack Weapon and Map Contracts
Contracts add Key and cosmetic milestones to normal play. Before entering a match, open Weapons, select the item, and review its Career or Contracts card. Use a weapon with an unfinished early objective while completing daily wins and eliminations.
Sort Contracts by Near Completion to find milestones you are close to finishing. Check the weapon, objective, and reward on each card; not every milestone awards Keys. Stay with the selected weapon until its useful milestone is complete instead of changing weapons every round.
Map Contracts work the same way at the map level. If the active objective matches a map already in the rotation, stack it with the daily set. If it requires a rare map or awkward action, finish the guaranteed daily rewards instead of forcing a low-probability queue.

Login Rewards and Prize Wheels
Claim the free Login Reward at the bottom of the Daily Shop. It refreshes with the shop, and every seventh day offers a grand prize that may include Skin Tickets. A login reward is not automatically a Key reward.
Daily Task progress can award up to five Prize Wheels per week. A wheel can give Keys or other rewards, including cosmetics and Skin Tickets. Check what you receive rather than adding a fixed Key amount to your daily budget.
Collect Free Season Pass Keys
Season 3 currently lists five Keys on the free Standard track. A pass level is listed as 25 duel rounds won or 20 minutes played, and level gain pauses after seven levels for seven days. Normal daily and contract play moves the pass without creating a separate farming routine.
The Prime track lists two additional Keys, but Prime is paid and does not belong in the free total. Pass rewards and pacing are season-specific, so recheck the in-game track when a new season begins.
Use Video Ads and Codes as Extras
Update 21 added video-ad rewards to lobby screens and the Shop Home tab, including Keys and cosmetics. The offers are limited to eligible players and can vary by region, account settings, or ad availability. If no ad button appears, there is no dependable workaround and no fixed Key cadence to promise.
Codes can also award Keys, but they rotate and expire without a stable public schedule. Enter a code only through the game menu and trust the result shown there. Do not count its reward until the game accepts it. Our RIVALS codes guide lists codes to try, redemption steps, and entries with uncertain availability.
Keys, Pearls, Glory, and Robux Are Different
- Keys: unlock ordinary weapons, skins, and related Key-store items.
- Pearls: the Summer Event ended in Update 22, and remaining Pearls were converted into Tropical Chests, not Keys.
- Glory: comes from Ranked play and is spent in the Ranked or Glory shop; it cannot be exchanged for Keys.
- Robux: buys Key bundles, paid pass content, and some refreshes, so those routes are not free.
The RIVALS ranked guide explains Glory and ranked progression separately. Mixing the currencies can make a useful reward look like a Key method when it cannot buy the same items.
What Should You Buy With the First Keys?
Keep the free Assault Rifle and use the first Keys to cover an empty role. Uzi adds a close-range Secondary, Scythe adds a movement dash, and Smoke Grenade creates safer crossings. The RIVALS weapon tier list compares every slot and gives low-cost, free, ranked, precision, and close-map loadouts.
A new weapon will not repair unstable aim or performance. The RIVALS best settings guide covers PC, mobile, and controller sensitivity, crosshair, and frame-rate choices before the next purchase.
Why Is Key Progress Not Moving?
- Arcade task progress is supported again in Update 22. If a counter stops, check the task requirement and whether its daily completion limit has been reached.
- Bonus Tasks are missing: finish the three Daily Tasks first; the repeatable set comes afterward.
- Contract counter is unchanged: confirm the selected weapon or map and read the exact objective on its contract card.
- Code is rejected: check spelling and the in-game redemption requirements; an expired code cannot be restored by another site.
Check one counter after one eligible match before committing to a long session. If the requirement was met and the number still does not change, rejoin the game and read the current in-game notice rather than assuming an old route still works.
Avoid Key Generators, Exploits, and Win Farming
Sites promising unlimited Keys, scripts, or login-based verification do not create legitimate rewards. Roblox account-safety guidance says never to share a password, browser cookie, 2SV code, or backup code. Avoid off-site downloads and redeem codes only inside RIVALS.
The official RIVALS page warns that cheating, glitch abuse, and sketchy farming methods can lead to permanent bans. Free Keys are not worth putting the Roblox account at risk.
Roblox RIVALS Keys FAQ
How many free Keys can a new player get?
The Beginner Tasks total 18 one-time Keys. The Update 22 Daily Tasks panel adds six Keys for completing the daily set. Contracts, pass rewards, ads, codes, and Prize Wheels can add separate rewards, but they are not a fixed extra daily total.
Can you get free Keys every day?
Yes. The Update 22 daily set shows six Keys across three tasks. Bonus Tasks have limits, while Contracts and pass rewards depend on unfinished milestones. Prize Wheels offer random rewards rather than a guaranteed number of Keys.
Do Arcade eliminations count for Keys?
Yes. Update 22 restored task progress in Arcade Servers. Check the current task card for its exact objective and remaining daily completions.
Can Pearls or Glory be converted into Keys?
Glory cannot be exchanged for ordinary Keys. The Summer Event has ended, and remaining Pearls became Tropical Chests rather than Keys.
Do RIVALS codes expire?
Yes. Codes can stop working or be replaced without a public expiry calendar. The redemption result inside the game is the final check.
The RIVALS game page connects the current guides. Collect the beginner rewards once, finish the six-Key daily set, and choose Contracts that overlap with your matches. Check Bonus Task limits before continuing to grind.
