Keys unlock weapons and other items in Roblox RIVALS. You can buy them, but the game also gives steady free Keys through beginner tasks, daily tasks, contracts, the Season Pass, and active codes. A new player can earn enough for useful equipment without spending Robux.
The fastest method is to combine several objectives in the same matches. Use a weapon with an unfinished contract while completing daily eliminations, wins, and duel totals. This keeps almost every round connected to more than one Key reward.
Finish the Beginner Tasks First
The beginner list gives 18 Keys in total. The first movement and shooting tasks are quick, and the match tasks can be completed while you learn the game.
- Visit the shooting range: one Key.
- Break targets at the shooting range: one Key.
- Slide and equip the Scythe: three Keys combined.
- Use a dash and throw a Grenade: four Keys combined.
- Play one duel, eliminate five players, and win one duel: nine Keys combined.
Do these before buying an expensive weapon. The free Assault Rifle is strong enough to complete the early match objectives, so you do not need a new gun to begin earning.
Daily Tasks Give Nine Keys
The standard daily list gives two Keys for playing five duels, three Keys for eliminating 15 players, and four Keys for winning two duels. Completing all three gives nine Keys in one day.
Start with the two wins. Those rounds also count toward the duel and elimination totals. If you still need eliminations after five duels, use a mode and map where fights begin quickly instead of staying in slow private matches.

Use the Repeatable Bonus Tasks
After the daily list, the bonus tasks continue rewarding play. Twelve duels give one Key, 40 eliminations give two Keys, and 12 wins give three Keys. These rewards are slower, but they add Keys while you work on contracts and Season Pass levels.
Update 21 added an important restriction: progress from Arcade servers only counts for players at level 100 or higher. If your task number is not moving, return to normal matches. Do not spend an hour in Arcade before checking the counter.
Rotate Weapons for Contract Keys
Weapon contracts are useful because early milestones arrive quickly. Playing five minutes with a weapon can give a Key. Primary and Secondary weapons can also award an early Key after five eliminations, while Melee weapons can award one after three eliminations.
Check the contract page before each session. Pick an unfinished weapon, earn its early reward, then move to another weapon. Staying on one completed weapon may be comfortable, but it leaves easy Keys unclaimed.
Map contracts can also give Keys and cosmetics. Work on them when their requirements match your daily tasks. Do not force a difficult map objective when a simpler daily reward is nearly complete.

Get the Free Season Pass Keys
The Season Pass has free rewards, including Keys. A level normally requires 25 round wins or 20 minutes of play. You can gain up to seven levels before a seven-day pause stops further progress. Check the reward track before deciding how much time to spend in one session.
Season rewards change. The current Season 3 free track lists five Keys, with two more on the Prime track. Treat the pass as extra value from normal play, not the only way to build your balance.
Redeem Active Codes Carefully
RIVALS sometimes releases codes that include Keys or other rewards. Codes can expire without warning, so this guide does not print an old list as if every entry still works. Use the in-game code menu and check the date on any code page before trying it.
Ignore websites or videos that promise unlimited Keys, generators, or account tricks. They do not provide a legitimate shortcut and may try to collect login details. Use only the official game and normal redemption menu.
Best Free Key Routine
- Complete every beginner task once for 18 Keys.
- Each day, aim for two wins first, then finish five duels and 15 eliminations.
- Equip a weapon with an unfinished five-minute or early elimination contract.
- Check whether a map contract matches the mode you are already playing.
- Collect Season Pass rewards and redeem only codes that are still confirmed active.
What Should You Buy First?
Keep the free Assault Rifle and spend your first Keys on a missing part of your loadout. Uzi is a useful low-cost Secondary, while Smoke Grenade gives cover and Scythe improves movement. Avoid buying several similar guns at once. One Primary, one reliable backup, and useful movement or utility will help more than a large collection you have not learned to use.
