One Piece Day 2026 is happening this weekend, and it is larger than a single announcement stream. The two-day event includes the final results of the second global character popularity poll, a full stage program, a live show, and a chance for people at the venue to try ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet before its October release.

The event takes place at Makuhari Messe in Japan on August 22 and 23. Organizers have also scheduled a free English-language livestream on YouTube, so fans outside Japan can follow the main programs without attending in person.

When and where is One Piece Day 2026?

The fifth One Piece Day runs at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 4–6. August 22 is labeled the Premiere Eve, while August 23 carries the main event schedule. The organizers note that individual stage names, performers, and start times can change, so the latest event schedule is the best place to check if a block moves.

The event is planned around Japan Standard Time. The Premiere Eve stage begins at 6:15 p.m. JST on August 22. The main program begins at 10:30 a.m. JST on August 23. For viewers in U.S. Central Time, those starts fall at 4:15 a.m. on August 22 and 8:30 p.m. on August 22, respectively, because the second Japanese program begins the previous evening in North America.

Organizers say admission applications have closed. That makes the Grand Gourmet demo a benefit for people inside the exhibition area, not an online trial or a code giveaway. Viewers can watch the stages from anywhere, but the demo requires a venue visit and a timed ticket.

How to watch the One Piece Day livestream

The official English event page directs viewers to the ONE PIECE DAY ’26 YouTube playlist. It is the place to follow the program blocks rather than a single short video. The stream is free; venue admission and merchandise tickets are separate matters for people attending in Japan.

If you are watching from the United States, set a reminder for the main program on the evening of August 22 Central Time. That is when the August 23 Japanese stage begins, including the top 30 poll results and the biggest collection of panels.

August 22: ranks 100 through 31

The Premiere Eve starts at 6:15 p.m. JST and runs until 7:45 p.m. The headline segment is the final reveal of character rankings 100 through 31 in the World Top 100 poll. It is the first half of the result, with the top 30 held for the following day.

That split gives the poll room to function as its own show instead of being squeezed between unrelated announcements. The official event announcement also lists music, voice cast programming, and game and merchandise news across the weekend, but the detailed stage timetable places the August 22 spotlight on the ranking reveal.

August 23: the top 30 and the main stage lineup

The August 23 schedule is much longer. Here are the major blocks in Japan Standard Time:

  • 10:30–11:50 — Opening stage, World Top 100 ranks 30 through 1, and the first One Piece News segment.
  • 12:30–1:25 — ONE PIECE Card Game special stage.
  • 2:10–3:15 — The eighth One Piece Knowledge King final.
  • 3:45–4:45 — Elbaf Arc voice cast special stage.
  • 5:15–6:30 — ONE PIECE DAY ’26 special live and ending program.

The 10:30 a.m. block is the one most viewers will want to prioritize. It contains the top 30 results, while the later stages focus on the card game, trivia, the current Elbaf anime cast, and live music.

The split schedule makes the event easier to follow from outside Japan. You do not need to watch every hour to catch the poll finale: the top 30 is contained in the opening block, and the Elbaf voice cast stage has its own later slot.

Grand Gourmet gives people at the event something to play

The One Piece Day FAQ lists a Grand Gourmet zone with a playable demo. Visitors need a timed ticket, each session lasts 20 minutes, and the booth has one controller at each station. The FAQ also says the demo may differ from the final game, so this is an early hands-on look rather than a final build preview.

Bandai Namco lists ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet for an October release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and mobile. Kairosoft is developing the management game, which puts players in charge of a floating restaurant with Sanji and more than 400 characters appearing as staff or customers. The full game also advertises more than 200 furniture and decoration items for the restaurant.

That makes the demo a useful part of the weekend even for fans who are more interested in games than poll rankings. It is also a reminder that One Piece Day covers the franchise as a whole, not only the weekly anime.

This is separate from Netflix’s THE ONE PIECE remake

The long-running Toei Animation series, Netflix’s live-action adaptation, and the upcoming animated remake are different One Piece projects. Our THE ONE PIECE guide covers the remake’s February 2027 release window and seven-episode first season. One Piece Day’s 2026 stage schedule is broader: it includes the current Elbaf voice cast, games, the character poll, and music rather than a dedicated remake presentation.

If you only have time for one part, watch the August 23 opening stage for the top 30 poll results. Keep the rest of the schedule nearby, though. The card game, Grand Gourmet demo, Elbaf cast panel, and live ending are separate pieces of the event, and each one targets a different part of the One Piece audience.
