The One Piece

THE ONE PIECE is a new television anime adapting Eiichiro Oda's manga from Chapter 1 of the East Blue saga. It restarts Monkey D. Luffy's journey rather than continuing Toei Animation's long-running anime or Netflix's live-action series. Luffy leaves Foosha Village to search for the One Piece and begins assembling the crew that will become the Straw Hat Pirates. Season 1 covers approximately the manga's first 50 chapters in seven episodes with a total runtime of about 300 minutes. The season ends around Luffy's encounter with Sanji at the floating restaurant Baratie. Netflix plans to release all seven episodes worldwide in February 2027, but it has not announced an exact day. WIT Studio produces the animation, with Masashi Koizuka directing, Hideaki Abe as assistant director, and Taku Kishimoto handling series composition. Kyoji Asano and Takatoshi Honda serve as character designers and chief animation directors. Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation are also credited as production partners on the new adaptation.
