Fate/strange Fake is officially coming back. Aniplex confirmed a new anime series during the franchise's Anime NYC panel and released a new promotional video with a teaser visual. The announcement is dated August 22 in Japan, and the English artwork uses the phrase “New Season Confirmed.”
Aniplex calls the project a new series rather than giving it a numbered season. There is no release date, episode count, or streaming date yet. The announcement does confirm that the story will continue, which is the part fans were waiting for after the first TV run ended with more questions than answers.
The new PV points directly at the unfinished story
The teaser visual breaks apart the faces of Ayaka Sajyou, Saber, and Sigma and layers their pieces over one another. Ryohgo Narita, who wrote the original story, said the image reflects the characters being broken by the trouble around them and then trying to move through the false Holy Grail War together.
That language fits where the first series stopped. Anime Corner reports that the 13-episode run ended with a “to be continued” message, while Aniplex's new cast comments talk about returning to the story rather than starting over. The PV does not show a release window or explain the next battle, so the visual is a continuation signal, not a plot summary.
