UNSEEN has released a new 90-second KEMURI world trailer for Tokyo Game Show 2026. “Welcome Back to the Chaos” returns to the vertical streets of KEMURI City with new Yokai Hunters, strange residents and a closing look at a huge creature built from urban debris.
KEMURI is planned for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2027, with no exact release date announced. The action-adventure game supports solo play and online co-op for as many as three players.

What the new KEMURI trailer shows
The trailer moves through several parts of KEMURI City instead of concentrating on one mission. Masked hunters cross rooftops and crowded streets, three brightly dressed frog yokai pose for the camera, and workers in orange protective suits examine a blue paranormal growth spreading through an outdoor area.
Its largest reveal is saved for the final seconds: a towering creature made from vehicles, pipes and discarded machinery rises above the street. UNSEEN calls this a world trailer, so the sequence establishes more of the setting and its inhabitants without announcing a demo, a new platform or a narrower launch window.
What kind of game is KEMURI?
KEMURI is an original action-adventure game from UNSEEN. Players become Yokai Hunters who investigate supernatural events in a metropolis built upward between the worlds of the living and the dead. Paranormal activity is common enough that humans and yokai share the same crowded urban space.
The studio is led by Ikumi Nakamura, who introduced the project as a story about finding the extraordinary inside ordinary life. The game’s visual identity mixes dense city architecture, fashion-focused character designs and creatures drawn from Japanese folklore.

How FOXWINDOW and Possession Apparel work
Every Yokai Hunter has a FOXWINDOW, an ability that exposes anomalies hidden from ordinary sight. Finding a yokai is only the first step: hunters can fight it or negotiate a contract that lets them borrow its powers.
Those contracts unlock Possession Apparel, clothing that changes a hunter’s appearance and can alter combat or traversal. Official footage has shown hunters moving quickly across walls, cables, rooftops and gaps between buildings, making the vertical city part of both exploration and action.
UNSEEN has not published a complete list of yokai, abilities or equipment. It also has not detailed progression, mission structure or how contracts are earned, so those systems remain broader concepts rather than finalized launch specifications.
Can you play KEMURI with friends?
Yes. KEMURI can be played solo or online with up to two friends, for a maximum group of three. The PlayStation Store lists one local player and up to three online players, which means the confirmed multiplayer mode is online co-op rather than local split-screen.
The studio has not explained whether the full campaign supports drop-in play, whether progress belongs to the host or whether players can combine specific yokai powers. The TGS trailer shows several hunters in the same world, but it does not answer those network and progression questions.
When and where KEMURI releases
KEMURI is scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5 and PC. PlayStation wishlisting is open, while UNSEEN says the PC store wishlist is coming soon. There is no confirmed Xbox, Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version.
No specific month, day, price, rating or edition lineup has been announced. The new trailer expands the world and cast, but the broad 2027 window remains unchanged.
