Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton has been delayed from 2026 to 2027. Publisher Shueisha Games said the team needs more time to deliver the multiplayer “survivors royale” in better form.

The announcement did not provide a month or day. The game is still planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam, with no platform removed from the new schedule.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble now has a 2027 release window

Shueisha Games announced the delay on September 15 after previously targeting 2026. The statement says the full team is working to improve the experience and asks players to wait longer, but it does not identify one technical problem or feature as the cause.

A release window is broader than a date. Until Shueisha Games names a quarter, month or day, the launch could fall anywhere in 2027.

  • New window: 2027.
  • Previous window: 2026.
  • Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC.
  • Price and preorder date: Not announced in the delay release.

How the survivors royale format works

Up to eight players enter the same match, defeat waves of Cursed Spirits and compete for points. Attacks trigger automatically, shifting the player’s attention toward movement, positioning, upgrades and the timing of special effects.

At 100 points, a player can activate a Rule Addition that changes the match and can interfere with rivals. The two highest-ranked players eventually enter a one-on-one duel that decides the winner.

More than 20 Jujutsu Kaisen characters are planned

Shueisha Games says the roster contains more than 20 characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. Each fighter has different skills and a separate play style, while additional characters can be unlocked by meeting in-game conditions.

Bosses can appear during a match, adding larger threats to the normal groups of Cursed Spirits. The publisher has shown Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki and other familiar characters, but has not published the complete launch roster.

Every match creates a different build

Defeating enemies grants experience and level-ups. Each level offers skills that can strengthen an existing ability or add a new effect, allowing players to adjust a build while the match is still running.

Special moves fill through combat and include recognizable techniques such as Domain Expansion and Black Flash. Nearby rivals can be affected, so the timing of a powerful move matters in both the survival phase and the final duel.

A single-player mode is also included

The official overview lists a single-player mode in addition to online matches for up to eight people. Shueisha Games has not described the solo structure in the same detail as the competitive mode.

The publisher has also not confirmed cross-play, online subscription requirements on consoles or differences between platforms. Those details remain open after the delay announcement.
