Marvel’s Wolverine is out today, September 15, on PlayStation 5. The live US PlayStation Store listing now offers the game for purchase, ending the wait for Insomniac Games’ single-player Logan adventure.
The Standard Edition costs $69.99 in the US. A $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition and a $10 Digital Deluxe upgrade are also available, while prices and release timing can vary by region.
Marvel’s Wolverine price and editions
The Standard Edition contains the base game. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds five suits, five claw styles, four Technique Points, early access to the Classic Brown Suit and Reflective Claws, and four PlayStation avatars.
Players who begin with the Standard Edition can buy the separate Digital Deluxe upgrade later. The extras do not replace the main campaign, and the official listing does not describe them as story DLC.

The launch is exclusive to PS5
Marvel’s Wolverine is available on PlayStation 5 and is enhanced for PS5 Pro. Sony has not announced a PlayStation 4 or PC edition, so today’s release should not be read as a multi-platform launch.
The store lists offline play for one player, Remote Play and DualSense vibration and trigger effects. A Premium subscription can also support PS5 and PS Portal cloud streaming where the service is available. There is no cooperative or competitive multiplayer mode on the official listing.
What the new Wolverine story is about
The original story begins three years after Logan left Team X. Bolivar Trask is kidnapping mutants, pulling Wolverine back into the group and a fight that travels through Canada, Japan and Madripoor.
Jean Grey, Mystique and Sabretooth are among the mutants connected to the campaign. Insomniac describes it as a focused narrative action-adventure rather than an open-world game, with detailed locations and optional detours.
New Game Plus and Photo Mode are available at launch
The launch feature list includes New Game Plus, Mission Replay and Nightmare Challenges. Photo Mode is delivered through a day-one update, so players may need to install the current patch before it appears.
Combat uses claws, kicks, barrages and critical strikes alongside rechargeable Special Techniques, Adaptations and three Rage tiers. Optional Nightmare Doors and collectible whisky bottles add activities outside the main route. Hidden material crates supply resources for upgrades and suits.
The release includes extensive accessibility options
Insomniac says the game includes more than 100 accessibility features. The PlayStation Store highlights remappable controls, adjustable game speed, skippable puzzles, screen-reader support, audio description and visual comfort options.
The ESRB rates Marvel’s Wolverine M for Mature 17+ for blood and gore, intense violence, strong language, drug reference and partial nudity. Players can adjust dynamic blood, dismemberment and English-language profanity through in-game controls.
