Prophecy Mode

Prophecy Mode is the story side of the game. It contains four original campaigns about Clan life, with a different journey attached to each Clan. This is where exploration, quests, training, relationships, hunting, den crafting, and the larger prophecy threads come together.

Defender Mode

Defender Mode is a survival challenge. Instead of advancing a campaign, the goal is to last as long as possible against a run of the game’s strongest enemies.

Skirmish Mode

Skirmish Mode lets players battle one another online asynchronously. Friend camps can also be visited asynchronously, with options to craft items or gift resources. None of the official pages currently describes real-time co-op story play.

How combat and progression work

Battles are turn-based and support teams of up to three cats against three opponents. The official feature list names 75 combat moves, specialized Clan abilities, enemy weaknesses, different combat stances, and powerful ancestor attacks connected to StarClan.

Progress is not limited to fighting rival Clans. Players can track prey such as birds, rabbits, and squirrels; face predators including badgers and foxes; collect crafting materials; decorate a den; and unlock more ways to shape their warrior. The cat creator covers fur, patterns, markings, eyes, ears, tails, whiskers, and other details.

What is the Purrfect Look Pack preorder bonus?

Nintendo’s US listing says purchases made by October 23, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. PDT receive the Purrfect Look Pack. It adds four exclusive elements to the cat creator. Because that deadline and wording come from Nintendo’s store page, buyers on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC should check the terms shown by their own retailer rather than assume every storefront uses identical eligibility rules.

Nintendo separately lists a Prophecy Pack DLC at $14.99 for October 23. That listing is not the same item as the free Purrfect Look Pack preorder bonus.
