Diane Lane has joined Li Jun Li in Victoria, a Hulu limited series set among San Francisco’s wealthy and powerful. Lane plays Lee Calloway, a venture capitalist used to getting what she wants.
Li Jun Li leads the story as Maxine Tao, a con artist who sees a chance to enter the high-stakes world of venture capital. The show’s premise places Maxine between a valuable deception and a killer who knows her secrets.
Who plays whom in Victoria?
Lane’s Lee has built her career on winning and does not want anyone in her way. Li’s Maxine is the person arriving in that world with a plan of her own. Hulu has not announced additional cast members in the latest casting update.
Christy Hall created the series and is its writer and showrunner. Geeta Vasant Patel directs the pilot. Onyx Collective and Counterpart Studios produce the thriller, with Li also serving as a co-producer.
When is Victoria coming to Hulu?
Hulu has not announced a premiere date. The casting update confirms the two central characters; further roles and a launch window are still to come.
Lane is also due to play Suzanne in Netflix’s A Hundred Percent, another upcoming series. In Victoria, her new role puts her on the opposite side of Li’s con artist in a story built around money, access and secrets.
