Treadmills set your base training gain; your equipped trail multiplies that gain. Compare both before buying an upgrade. A trail's 2× label does not instantly double the movement Speed you already have, and buying several trails does not add all their multipliers together.
Where to upgrade and check your training
- At your base, use the sign beside the treadmill to check the next machine level and its price. If the machine is still locked, follow its unlock prompt first; that is separate from buying a later treadmill tier.
- Find the Trails Shop near the base area. Open its menu and compare the new trail's multiplier with the trail you currently have equipped.
- Check whether the purchase button uses cash or Robux. The recorded shop offers them side by side; buying with one is not the same as buying with the other.
- Equip the trail you intend to use and train on the treadmill. Watch the shoe-shaped Speed counter to confirm that training is increasing it.
- Compare your actual gain before and after the upgrade with the same boosts active. If a timed boost expires during the comparison, repeat it without mixing the two conditions.
Treadmill upgrade list
These are the ten machines listed in the community equipment records checked on September 15, 2026. Prices are cash reference values, and gains are the listed base Speed per step, before trail multipliers or other bonuses. The live upgrade sign takes priority if an update changes a price or gain.
- Starter treadmill: +2 Speed per step. Check the separate initial unlock prompt at your base.
- Sci-Fi Treadmill: +5 Speed per step; $15,000.
- Flame Treadmill: +12 Speed per step; $250,000.
- Celebrity Treadmill: +30 Speed per step; $5 million.
- Golden Treadmill: +80 Speed per step; $120 million.
- The Freeze Treadmill: +100 Speed per step; $3 billion.
- Lucky Block Treadmill: +200 Speed per step; $75 billion.
- Hacker Treadmill: +500 Speed per step; $3 trillion.
- Demonic Treadmill: +1,000 Speed per step; $50 trillion.
- Angelic Treadmill: +2,000 Speed per step; $1 quadrillion.
The September 3 gameplay below shows the upgraded silver machine producing +10 while the Green Trail is equipped. Its base listing is +5, and Green Trail is listed at 2×, so that recorded gain is consistent with the combination. +10 is not the machine's unmodified base value.
Trail upgrade list
Only one trail can be equipped at a time. The following cash prices and multipliers are community reference values checked on September 15, 2026. The Blue, Purple, and Golden entries also match the historical shop screenshot below; this is not a fresh in-game purchase test.
- Grey Trail: 1.5× training gain; $100.
- Green Trail: 2× training gain; $5,000.
- Blue Trail: 2.5× training gain; $75,000.
- Purple Trail: 3× training gain; $1.5 million.
- Golden Trail: 3.5× training gain; $30 million.
- Red Trail: 4× training gain; $750 million.
- Galaxy Trail: 5× training gain; $20 billion.
- Secret Trail: 7× training gain; $500 billion.
- Eternal Trail: 10× training gain; $12.5 trillion.
- Divine Trail: 14× training gain; $300 trillion.
The larger labels are easy to misread: K means thousand, M means million, B means billion, T means trillion, and Qa means quadrillion. Check both the number and its suffix. A $1.5M purchase is not $1,500.
Should you buy a treadmill or a trail next?
Compare the increase over your current equipment, then consider what you can afford. A new 3× trail is not a threefold improvement if you already use a 2.5× trail. Dividing 3 by 2.5 gives 1.2, or a 20% gain in that multiplier with other conditions unchanged.
Here are three comparisons using the listed values:
- Starter to Sci-Fi: +2 becomes +5, a 150% increase in base gain. Keeping the same trail lets you compare the machine change directly.
- Green to Blue Trail: 2× becomes 2.5×, a 25% increase in the trail multiplier.
- Golden to The Freeze treadmill: +80 becomes +100, a 25% increase in base gain despite the much higher cash price.
That last example is why price alone is a poor guide to the size of an upgrade. Do not read the next rarity label as a promise of a huge jump. If both a machine and a trail upgrade are available, compare the relative gain, cash cost, and time you will spend training before your next egg run.
Check the combination, not just one item
Using the listed base values, a +5 treadmill with a 2× trail gives a simple expected combination of +10 per training step before any other effects. Changing only the trail to 2.5× gives a calculated 12.5. The game may display or round a fractional result differently, so confirm the actual counter instead of promising that every popup will show that exact decimal.
Do not apply the trail multiplier a second time to a gain you have already measured with the trail equipped. If the counter is already rising by +10 with the +5 machine and Green Trail, multiplying that observed +10 by two again would overestimate your progress.
Estimate whether you are ready for the next egg run
Measure the increase in your total Speed over a short interval with your intended equipment. Divide the extra Speed you want by your measured gain per second. For example, needing 12,000 more Speed at 200 per second gives an estimate of one minute. Those are example numbers, not a universal training rate.
Leave room for the return trip. A heavy egg slows you down, and a posted recommendation such as Lake's 900 Speed does not guarantee escape with every target. If you consistently get caught, train more or try a smaller egg before buying an expensive upgrade on the assumption it alone solves the problem.
