Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game, so each fight is built around choosing actions for a squad instead of controlling one hero in real time. The final footage shows Operators using different weapons and abilities on the battlefield, while the official materials emphasize that decisions made at the base and during missions can change how a playthrough develops.

That format gives the Rex cameo a different purpose from a normal action-game guest appearance.
