Ryan Murphy says he has finished a script for a possible Glee return. That is a writing milestone, not a series order. No network, release date or returning cast has been announced.
Murphy said he wrote the script with fellow Glee creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He has spoken with around 10 members of the original cast about the idea, but he also said they had not read the script yet.

Murphy described their response as enthusiastic, while making clear that he wants to write more and hear what people think. Interest in an idea is not the same as a signed deal. He did not name the actors he contacted or describe the roles they might play.
Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry in all six seasons, has said she would be happy to return. Her interest does not confirm that she has been cast in a new project. Murphy has not said whether this would follow the original characters, introduce a new class or take another form.

A new Glee series has not been confirmed. For now, there is a script and a conversation with some former cast members. There is no announced production start, network or premiere date.
