Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is an Infinity Ward first-person shooter with Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ. The campaign begins when North Korea invades South Korea. Players follow Private Park on the front lines while Captain Price runs an off-the-books operation. Missions move through Korea, New York, Paris, Mumbai, and other battlefields.

Multiplayer uses grounded movement with more control during mantling, climbing, sliding, and transitions into combat. Twelve launch Core 6v6 maps support returning and new modes. Kill Block changes routes, cover, and sightlines across more than 500 possible layouts; Gunfight and Ground War add small tactical rounds and large combined-arms battles.

DMZ takes place in the Hajin Exclusion Zone. Players can deploy solo or with a squad, complete Story Missions and Dynamic Operations, manage equipment and inventory, react to weather and hostile forces, and decide what to extract. Match-to-match progression carries consequences beyond one deployment.

Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Digital Campaign Early Access begins October 16. Infinity Ward leads development, with Beenox supporting PC and Digital Legends supporting Nintendo Switch 2.
