Humanity survives on the enormous branches of the World Tree after a calamity called the Blight consumes the surface. A lone soldier is entrusted with a Fell Child and ordered to take her to the tree’s summit. The official description does not yet name either character or explain why the child must reach the top.

The journey is deliberately compact. Rather than presenting a long open-world campaign, Cygames describes a focused ascent in which the relationship between the pair develops through movement, danger and brief story scenes.

How the flower landing mechanic works

The World Tree is a vertical obstacle course built from branches, ancient ruins, suspended platforms and long open drops. Players have to judge the wind, read the next landing point and keep moving as some footholds collapse.

Flower buds provide the game’s signature safety mechanic. Activating one creates a large blossom below. Landing on that flower absorbs a fall that would otherwise be fatal, turning a plunge into a planned shortcut or a second chance.

The official footage also shows climbing, narrow jumps, swinging obstacles and giant leaves. Cygames has not published a full move list, checkpoint system or difficulty menu, so those details should remain unconfirmed until the developer explains them.

The main narrative takes about three hours, according to both the Steam and PlayStation descriptions. That is the developer’s estimate, not a promise that every first playthrough will finish at the same time.

A player who struggles with precision jumps or searches each route carefully may take longer. Experienced platforming players may finish faster. Cygames has not announced collectibles, chapter counts or a completion-time estimate for every challenge.
