SURI: The Seventh Note launches October 30, 2026, on PS5 and PC via Steam. A free demo is already available on both platforms. Tathvamasi Studios made the date official alongside a new trailer for its hand-drawn rhythm platformer.
You play as Ajira, a young girl searching for a rare fruit that could save her mother. The journey takes her across an island where moving platforms, enemies and escape sequences follow the music. To get through them, you need to time your jumps, dashes and other moves to the beat.
How does the rhythm change the platforming?
In one gameplay scene, Ajira dashes between stone platforms while spikes close in around her. In another, she crosses rooftops on a long rope. The hazards and routes change from place to place, but listening for the next beat remains part of the challenge.

Game director Glen Martin says the team left about half a second between the main beats. That gives players time to react before a jump or dash. On PS5, the game also uses DualSense vibration to help players feel the rhythm through the controller.

Why the music sounds different
The island takes visual ideas from Rajput forts, Theyyam traditions and Himalayan monasteries. Its soundtrack changes with the setting: Martin says the team uses a veena in the southern part of the island and draws on music from Rajasthan for the desert areas.
Martin also says the studio recorded most of the soundtrack with physical instruments:
Eighty percent of the music you hear in the game has been recorded with original analogue instruments rather than something synthesised electronically.
The studio combines those sounds with a steady beat that players can follow during fast platforming sections. The music is not just background audio: it gives you the timing for the next move.
Release date, platforms and demo
October 30 is the listed launch date on both PS5 and Steam. The PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition offers three days of early access. If you want to try the game first, the free demo is available now on PlayStation Store and Steam.
SURI is a single-player game developed and published by Tathvamasi Studios. PS5 and PC are the confirmed platforms; the studio has not announced Xbox or Switch versions.
