Scott Foley has joined the recurring cast of Shrinking for Season 4. He joins Jason Segel, Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams in the Apple TV comedy, with his role described as a therapy patient.

Who is Foley joining?

Judith Light is also joining the fourth season in a recurring role. The returning ensemble includes Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley.

Segel plays Jimmy Laird, a therapist grieving the loss of his wife. Jimmy begins telling his patients exactly what he thinks, breaking professional rules and changing his relationships at work and at home. Ford plays Paul, while Williams plays Gaby.

Foley’s return to Sacred Heart

Foley is also returning as Sean Kelly in the second season of the Scrubs revival, which began September 30 on ABC. Bill Lawrence created the original Scrubs and co-created Shrinking with Brett Goldstein and Segel.

Foley’s recent television work includes starring in and executive producing It’s Not Like That and a recurring role on Will Trent. He has also joined the Hulu pilot Young Americans as Judd Burchfield, the fictional president of the United States. That casting is for a pilot, not an announcement of a full series order.

What is available to watch?

Apple renewed Shrinking for a fourth season in January, before Season 3 began on January 28. The Season 4 casting update does not announce a premiere date.

Seasons 1–3 are available on Apple TV in the United States. Scrubs airs on ABC, with new episodes streaming the next day on Hulu in the U.S. Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions make Shrinking for Apple TV.
