Scrubs returns to Sacred Heart with Zach Braff as J.D., Donald Faison as Turk and Sarah Chalke as Elliot. They are no longer the interns learning their first hospital lessons: the revival follows them as experienced doctors working with younger staff. Ava Bunn plays Dr. Sam Tosh, and John C. McGinley returns as Dr. Cox. Bill Lawrence, the original series creator, executive produces; Aseem Batra is showrunner. The series is produced by 20th Television. The 2026 revival began with its first season earlier this year. Season 2 premieres with two episodes on ABC in the United States on September 30 at 8 p.m. Eastern. “My First Time in a While” concerns Dr. Cox’s care, while “My Mentee” follows an insurance problem and several mentoring relationships. ABC schedules new episodes weekly and says each streams the next day on Hulu in the U.S. This does not mean Season 2 is available on Hulu before its TV premiere. ABC’s September 30 episode listings carry a TV-14 classification under the U.S. TV Parental Guidelines. Broadcast and streaming availability outside the U.S. may differ.
