Kyle MacLachlan still keeps some distance from fame, even after more than four decades in acting. In a September 29 GQ interview, the Twin Peaks and Fallout star reflected on public attention and why ensemble roles feel more natural than being the production’s central figure.

In GQ’s One More Question conversation, he put that discomfort plainly:

Why ensemble roles suit him

Asked how he sees the shift from leading parts to ensemble casts, MacLachlan said he feels more at home as one collaborator among many than as the person at the center. He pointed to Twin Peaks, Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives and Fallout as examples of the kind of group work he values.

Who’s who in Fallout

MacLachlan will return as Hank MacLean in Fallout Season 3. Amazon MGM has confirmed his return, but its current update says Prime Video has not announced a release date for the season.
