Every September 2026 Game Catalog addition
September 15: RuneScape and WWE lead the lineup
RuneScape: Dragonwilds — PS5. The survival RPG leaves Early Access and launches its full version on September 15. Players gather resources, build settlements, develop 13 skills and fight dragons across Ashenfall. Jagex says the console launch supports crossplay with PC and Xbox Series X|S.
WWE 2K26 — PS5. Visual Concepts’ wrestling game includes more than 400 playable Superstars and Legends, a CM Punk-focused 2K Showcase, Universe mode and the MyRISE career stories. The catalog announcement lists the PS5 version only.
Sony says the full September lineup will be available September 15 unless a game has a different regional date below. The PlayStation Store remains the final check because catalog availability can vary by region.

September 22: BALL x PIT and Slitterhead
BALL x PIT — PS5. The fast action roguelite mixes bouncing projectiles, character builds and settlement upgrades. Sony lists September 22 for the US, UK and Japan. Pixel Twelve’s BALL x PIT game page covers the game and its current platforms.
Slitterhead — PS5 and PS4. Players control the Hyoki, a bodiless entity that can possess humans while hunting monsters hidden in the streets of Kowlong. Its catalog date is September 22 in the US, UK and Japan.
September 29: three more Extra and Premium games
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound — PS5 and PS4. The side-scrolling action game follows Kenji Mozu after a barrier between the human and demon worlds breaks. Sony lists September 29 in the US, UK and Japan.
Dungeons of Hinterberg — PS5 and PS4. The action RPG sends Luisa through an Alpine town filled with puzzle dungeons, spells and social activities. It also arrives September 29 in the listed regions.
Sniper Elite: Resistance — PS5 and PS4. Rebellion’s World War II stealth shooter includes a solo or co-op campaign, Axis Invasion and competitive multiplayer. Its Game Catalog date is September 29.
Date Everything! arrives before the main lineup
Date Everything! — PS5 — became available September 9 in the US and UK, with Japan following September 10. The dating simulator uses magical glasses to turn household objects into characters who can become friends, rivals or romantic partners.
Its earlier release date means subscribers do not have to wait until September 15 to start the catalog update. Availability should still be checked in the local PlayStation Store, especially outside the regions named in Sony’s announcement.
What do Premium members get?
Mega Man X Command Mission — PS5 and PS4. The turn-based RPG sends Mega Man X, Axl and Zero through more than 50 missions in Giga City. It belongs to the Premium selection and is not included with Extra.
Metro Redux — PS4. The collection combines Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux. Premium members can play the PS4 release, while Sony’s announcement does not list a native PS5 version.
PlayStation Premium includes the Extra Game Catalog as well as the Classics Catalog, game trials and cloud-streaming benefits in supported regions. The two Premium additions do not change the eight-game Extra and Premium catalog list.
Game Catalog vs. September Monthly Games
The Game Catalog and Monthly Games use different access rules. Essential members receive Monthly Games but do not receive the Game Catalog. Extra and Premium include both benefits.
September’s Monthly Games are Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. Those four can be added to a member’s library during their claim window. Catalog games remain part of the rotating service only while Sony keeps them there and the account maintains an eligible plan.
Sniper Elite: Resistance appears in both groups this month. An eligible member can claim the Monthly Game version before its deadline, while the September 29 listing also places it in the catalog for Extra and Premium users. The Monthly Games article explains the October claim deadline and the separate MLB bonus bundle.
Which September catalog game should you start with?
Choose RuneScape: Dragonwilds for co-op survival and building. Its catalog arrival matches the PS5 launch, so console players begin with the full release rather than the earlier PC version.
Choose WWE 2K26 for wrestling modes and a large roster. The CM Punk Showcase supplies a focused campaign, while Universe and MyRISE support longer play.
Choose BALL x PIT for shorter action runs and build experimentation. Its September 22 timing means it comes one week after the two main September 15 releases.
Date Everything! is the story-heavy option, while Dungeons of Hinterberg mixes combat, puzzles and relationships. Slitterhead, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and Sniper Elite: Resistance cover horror action, side-scrolling combat and tactical shooting.
How to find the September games
On PS5 or PS4, open the PlayStation Plus area and select the Game Catalog. The PlayStation app and web store can also show whether a title is included for the account’s current region and plan.
Check the store page on the listed date before purchasing a game separately. Regional catalogs and exact rollout times can differ, and Sony says the local PlayStation Store should be used for the final availability check.
More release guides and current game updates are collected in the Games section.
