Onslaught opened in U.S. theaters on September 4, 2026. A24’s live movie page still offers a ticket link and labels Apple TV, Amazon, Fandango at Home, and Kaleidescape as preorders. It does not list a digital rental or purchase date.

There is no confirmed subscription streaming service or streaming date. The digital store links are not a watch-now announcement. Availability can also differ by country, so the current information below applies to the U.S. release.

Onslaught Watch Options Right Now

  • U.S. theaters: Available now after the September 4 opening. A24’s official page links to current ticket listings.
  • Digital purchase or rental: Preorders are listed, but A24 has not posted the date when playback begins.
  • Subscription streaming: No service or date has been announced.
  • Outside the United States: Release timing is regional. A24’s U.S. page does not establish a worldwide theater or digital schedule. Country-specific stores can open preorders at different times, and a local theatrical release does not guarantee the same digital date. Check the title page in your region before placing a preorder.

What the Digital Preorder Links Mean

A preorder reserves a future purchase through that store. It does not mean the film can be streamed today, and the store may not reveal the final playback date until A24 sets its home-release schedule. Rental timing can also differ from purchase timing.

A24 currently groups all four stores under “Pre-Order.” The page does not use a “Watch Now” label. That wording is the clearest current boundary between the theatrical release and the future digital release.

Store prices, supported resolutions, bonus features, and rental windows can change by retailer. A preorder page is the right place to confirm a specific store’s terms, but it should not be used as proof of a general release date unless A24 or the retailer displays that date.

How to Find a Theater Showing

Start with the Get Tickets button on A24’s official Onslaught page, then enter a location to see participating theaters and showtimes. Theater coverage can be uneven, especially after opening weekend, so the local listing is more reliable than assuming every chain or city has the film.

The official trailer also identifies September 4 as the theatrical release date. If a showtime disappears, that does not mean the digital edition has launched; it only means that screening is no longer listed in that market.

What Onslaught Is About

Adria Arjona plays Celeste, a former Army sniper raising her young daughter in a desert trailer park. After genetically engineered soldiers escape from a nearby military contractor, Celeste uses her training to defend her home and child.

A24 bills Adam Wingard as director. The official cast list includes Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall. The Associated Press also identifies Blake Kennedy as Celeste’s daughter.

The film mixes an engineered-soldier conspiracy with a siege story built around Celeste’s family. The Associated Press describes it as an A24 slasher siege and reports an R rating for strong bloody violence, gore, sexual material and nudity, and language.

Why Adam Wingard Made a Smaller Action Film

In a note published by A24, Wingard says the production returned him to New Mexico, where he filmed The Guest in 2013. He describes Onslaught as a return to the filmmaking style he used before spending years on larger studio projects.

Wingard calls the movie a personal project about why he loves cinema. His note also describes the Albuquerque production office, the location boards, and a visual reference wall used with cinematographer Oren Soffer and production designer Tom Hammock.

Where to Watch the Official Trailer

A24’s official trailer is embedded below. It introduces Celeste, the desert setting, the escaped soldiers, and the main cast without changing the current availability answer: theaters are live, while digital remains at the preorder stage.

The Onslaught movie page keeps the release date, trailer, genres, official image, and related coverage together. The Pixel Twelve Movies hub lists other tracked films.

What to Check for Next

The next useful update will be a confirmed digital playback date. After that, A24 may announce rental timing, physical editions, or a subscription home. Until one of those details appears on an official listing, the safe answer remains theaters now and digital preorder only.
