Harry da Souza is back on call, and the Harrigans are in no shape to make his job easier. MobLand returns to Paramount+ on Friday, September 18, for its second season. Tom Hardy plays the family’s fixer again, with Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren as Maeve.

Paramount+ says the family is trying to look united while new rivals threaten its criminal empire. The trouble is that the Harrigans are already split among themselves. Harry has to manage danger outside the family and arguments inside it, all while trying to keep the fallout from reaching his own life.

How many episodes are there?

The second season has ten episodes. Paramount+ plans to release them weekly on Fridays, beginning September 18 and ending with the season finale on November 20. This is not an all-at-once release. The complete first season is available on the service for anyone who wants to catch up before the new story.

A weekly schedule suits a show built on shifting loyalties. One deal can look safe at the end of an episode and disastrous a week later. Paramount’s official description promises rising rivals, a fractured Harrigan empire and a fight for power that leaves little room for mercy. It does not name a final winner, and neither does the trailer.

Who returns with Tom Hardy?

Brosnan and Mirren return as Conrad and Maeve, the heads of the Harrigan family. The ensemble also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen and Emmett J. Scanlan. Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones are also listed for the season.

The new trailer shows how much pressure is building around the Harrigans.

The trailer flashes between family rooms, uneasy meetings and Harry doing the work nobody else wants to handle. Those images sell the pressure without telling us exactly whom he will back when the Harrigans turn on one another. For a fixer whose value comes from being trusted, that is a dangerous place to stand.

Is there more MobLand after this?

Paramount+ renewed MobLand for a third season before season two began. That is separate news from today’s premiere: the second season is the one starting now, and the company has not announced a season-three date. The early renewal does mean the series is not being introduced as a one-and-done return.

For now, the next ten Fridays belong to Harry and the Harrigans. The first episode begins the new run on Paramount+, and the season’s main question is clear: can Harry keep the family together when its own members may be making that impossible?
