A host trying to rescue her show gets a caller she should probably turn away in Marrow. The new psychological horror film stars Jessica Dawn Willis, Danielle Harris and Michael Ironside, and its latest trailer moves from a recording desk to a much more dangerous encounter with the person on the other end of the call.
S&R Films has released the trailer after acquiring worldwide distribution rights. The film follows Jamie Foster, an internet personality whose audience is shrinking. Her boss gives her a choice: improve the numbers or lose the show. The offer that follows sounds like the sort of exclusive that could bring viewers back, but Jamie has reasons to fear it.
The guest knows more than he should
The stranger hints that he is responsible for four missing internet personalities. Jamie invites him onto her show, putting someone connected to those disappearances in direct contact with her. Her own past also becomes part of the story, so the interview is not simply a host asking about crimes that happened to other people.
The trailer begins in a recognizable recording setup: microphones, laptops, headphones and a room lined with books. Willis appears in both red and blonde hair, with bright lipstick and a carefully put-together look. As the preview continues, that controlled setting gives way to woods, a remote house and frightening images that look nothing like a routine conversation for an audience.

A close-up of a radio and quick cuts between the women make the caller’s presence feel harder to keep at a distance. The threat is not limited to what someone says through a microphone. Shots of Jamie alone in a room, a woman moving through the trees and a face appearing on a screen take the danger away from the recording desk.
The trailer does not identify the caller for the audience. Its glimpses of violence are not enough to settle who is behind the disappearances or explain every frightening image. That uncertainty is part of the preview; it is not a reason to assume that the most famous actor in the cast must be playing the killer.
Who Danielle Harris and Michael Ironside play
Harris plays Camilla Moore, Jamie’s aunt as well as her boss. Their family relationship makes the threat to Jamie’s job more personal than a difficult meeting with an unrelated executive. Camilla wants the show to perform, while Jamie is already struggling to keep it going.

Ironside plays Dr. Jonathan Myers, a psychiatrist who has survived an encounter with Jamie’s stalker. That gives him a connection to the danger Jamie is facing, not just a professional reason to hear her out. The film’s description also gives the doctor a mysterious past of his own.
Willis is the lead as Jamie and also co-wrote the screenplay. Those three characters have different relationships to the interview: Jamie wants the opportunity, Camilla is applying the pressure, and Myers knows something about the person making her life dangerous.

The filmmakers and the release plans
Mitch McLeod directs, from a screenplay he wrote with Willis and Preston Fassel. McLeod and Willis also produce alongside Matthew Tompkins and Jon Keeyes. The film runs 96 minutes, according to its Popcorn Frights festival listing.
McLeod told ComingSoon where the idea began:
“Marrow is based on true events surrounding a stalking that occurred many years ago to somebody who meant a great deal to me.”
That is the background he gives for the story, not a claim that every scene reproduces an actual crime. Marrow uses a fictional host and a horror-thriller plot to follow the increasingly dangerous consequences of her attempt to regain an audience.
The commercial release is still ahead: S&R Films has not announced the theatrical or digital date in its current trailer announcement. No U.S. streaming service is confirmed. For now, the trailer gives the clearest look at Jamie’s show, the pressure from Camilla and the encounter that could cost Jamie far more than her career.
