Sony has scheduled 24 Jump Street for December 10, 2027. If the date holds, Schmidt and Jenko will return to theaters 13 years after 22 Jump Street turned a college assignment into one of the funniest studio comedies of the 2010s.
The date is firm enough to put the sequel on the calendar, but its familiar faces are not locked yet. Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube are all in talks to return. Sony has not announced completed deals for any of them.

Why did the movie skip 23 Jump Street?
The title turns years of delays into the first joke. 22 Jump Street ended with a rapid series of fake sequel ideas, and a real crossover with Men in Black was later explored under the title MIB 23. That crossover was abandoned, so the new film is jumping straight to 24.
Calling it 24 Jump Street also tells fans this is not trying to hide the wait. The movie can laugh at the fact that its young undercover cops are no longer young, instead of pretending the last 13 years never happened.
