Fate/strange Fake moves the Fate franchise's Holy Grail War to Snowfield, a city in the United States where Masters and Servants become trapped in a conflict that does not follow the expected rules. The anime follows Ayaka Sajyou, Saber, Sigma, and other participants as the false war turns into a dangerous struggle over identity, loyalty, and the wish-granting Grail. The original story is written by Ryohgo Narita with TYPE-MOON credited as the original creator. A-1 Pictures produces the animation, with Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume directing and Shizuki Morii handling character designs. The first TV series ran for 13 episodes in 2026. Aniplex confirmed a new anime series on August 22, 2026, but has not announced its release date or episode count.
