The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System returns to Japanese television on October 1. The anime’s official site has released a new trailer and key visual for its second cour. The announcement also names four new characters and both theme songs.
If you missed the first part, the story follows Elymas Edvaughn. His family expects him to become a respected fighter, but he awakens as a Heavy Knight and is cast out. Elymas knows the world works much like a game he played before. He uses that knowledge to find strengths in a class that others dismiss. Luce becomes one of his closest allies.
Who joins the cast?
The second-cour announcement adds Kelt, voiced by Kosuke Tanabe; Maebel, voiced by Tsugumi Sakuragi; Hilde, voiced by Misaki Kuno; and Carlos, voiced by Kengo Kawanishi. These names come from the official anime information and Crunchyroll’s report on the new trailer. Their roles in Elymas’s next fights should become clearer as the episodes air.
There are two new songs as well. Tokoyami Towa performs the opening, “Rewrite the Answer.” PompadollS performs the ending, “Contemporary Dance.” The trailer gives viewers their first look at the new part of the story and the updated music. The wide art and key visual show the returning characters in a larger group, but they do not reveal every plot turn.

Crunchyroll carries The Exiled Heavy Knight and has covered the second-cour announcement. October 1 is the confirmed Japanese TV start date. Streaming times and access can differ by country, so check the series page in your region for the exact new-episode schedule. It would be misleading to promise that every territory gets the episode at the same hour.
The first cour began in July 2026. Viewers who are new to the series can begin there to understand why Elymas’s Heavy Knight class causes trouble with his family and how he meets Luce. The second cour continues that story rather than starting a separate adaptation. The title can sound like a joke, but the main idea is easy to follow: Elymas knows how the rules work when almost everyone else underestimates his class. That knowledge shapes how he fights and whom he travels with.
