Filming is underway on Women Like Us, a Netflix film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams and Vivica A. Fox. Netflix has shared a first on-set photo of the four performers together. Tasha Smith is directing.

What is Women Like Us about?

The story follows a recently widowed woman whose lifelong best friends and sister take her to the Hamptons on what would have been her 30th wedding anniversary. Their trip brings grief, marriage and friendship into the same conversation. Netflix has not identified which actor plays the widow, her sister or either friend.

Who is making the film?

Ali Kinney wrote the screenplay, with writing from Tracy Oliver. Michelle Obama is an executive producer through Higher Ground, and Charles D. King executive produces for MACRO. Smith directs the ensemble.

When will Women Like Us arrive on Netflix?

Netflix has not announced a release date. The film is in production, so it should not be listed as available to watch yet. The first set photo introduces the cast without revealing their individual roles.
