A Stellar Blade demo is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players their first chance to try the new version before it launches in November. The demo arrived alongside a fresh vignette for the game’s Bayonetta collaboration.
The video focuses on four couture outfits for EVE: Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne and Black Tresses. The designs borrow the attitude and colors of PlatinumGames’ series without turning EVE into a copy of its characters.
The Bayonetta outfits are free
The costume set is not limited to Nintendo’s console. SHIFT UP says the four outfits will be released as a free update for the Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC versions. The update is scheduled for November 5 at 7 a.m. Pacific and 3 p.m. GMT, which is November 6 in Korea and Japan.
That timing places the collaboration beside the Switch 2 release. Nintendo lists Stellar Blade Complete Edition for November 5 in North America, while SHIFT UP’s Korean schedule shows the local launch after midnight on November 6.
The vignette spends time on each look instead of treating the collaboration as a logo reveal. Bayonetta brings the most familiar silhouette, Jeanne uses a sharp red palette, Nun switches to black and white, and Black Tresses gives EVE a darker style designed for this crossover.
What is included in the Complete Edition
The Switch 2 version includes the main game and the existing NieR:Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE collaboration content. Nintendo also lists touch-screen support, HDR on compatible televisions, cloud saves and a 25.4 GB estimated download.
The game remains a single-player action adventure. EVE leaves a space colony and returns to an Earth overrun by the Naytiba, fighting through ruined cities while uncovering what happened to humanity.
Combat mixes quick attacks, parries, dodges, skills and boss fights. Character progression allows players to adjust EVE’s abilities, equipment and weapons as the enemies become more demanding.
The Switch 2 edition also uses Joy-Con 2 motion controls during selected activities away from combat, including fishing. Those additions are designed for the new hardware, but the central story and battle system remain the same experience released first on PlayStation 5 and later on PC.
What the demo lets players decide
Nintendo and SHIFT UP have not announced that the demo includes every Complete Edition feature, and players should not assume progress will transfer unless the eShop listing confirms it for their region. The useful part is more basic: the download offers a direct way to judge how Stellar Blade looks and feels on Switch 2 before buying it.
With the demo live, preorders open and the Bayonetta costumes fully revealed, the Switch 2 launch is no longer only a distant port announcement. Players can now try the hardware conversion while deciding whether the bundled edition is worth returning to Earth for.
