Scary Movie is moving to Paramount+ on September 3, 2026. The sixth film in the horror-comedy series has already finished its theatrical run and is now listed digitally, but the streaming date gives viewers a new reason to revisit the returning cast. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall are back in the same movie for the first time since the early entries in the franchise.

When does Scary Movie start streaming?

Paramount+ lists Scary Movie for streaming on Thursday, September 3. The listing identifies the film as a 2026 R-rated comedy and includes the main cast, but it does not give a release time. Viewers should look for it on the service that day rather than assume a midnight launch in a particular time zone.

The film is also available through digital listings, while Paramount+ has been adding other recent movies to its service. Passenger’s Paramount+ streaming debut is another recent example of the platform’s release window for a new genre movie.

Who returns for the sixth movie?

Marlon Wayans returns as Shorty Meeks, Shawn Wayans plays Ray, Anna Faris is back as Cindy Campbell, and Regina Hall returns as Brenda Meeks. The reunion brings the original Core Four back together after Faris and Hall skipped Scary Movie 5. Variety also notes that this is the first entry since Scary Movie 2 to involve the Wayans family.

Michael Tiddes directs the film. The new story brings the group back into another masked-killer setup while the comedy targets recent horror trends instead of copying only the movies from the original series. Paramount’s official synopsis describes a brand-new masked killer and the return of Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray.
