Luffy has won the One Piece popularity poll again, but the result was not a comfortable landslide. The second global World Top 100 poll gave Monkey D. Luffy 2,378,519 points, while Roronoa Zoro finished with 2,148,793.
The final rankings were revealed during ONE PIECE DAY ’26 after fans voted for characters from across Eiichiro Oda’s manga and anime. The official ranking page lists 1,567 eligible characters, so the top 10 only shows a small part of the result. It is still the part most readers will want first.
Luffy takes first with more than 2.3 million points
The official results use points rather than a single vote total. Web votes, app votes, WT100 spot votes, and postcard voting used different counting rules, so the published point figure is the number to use when comparing the characters.
Luffy’s total puts him more than 229,000 points ahead of Zoro. That is a much smaller gap than the first WT100 poll created, but it is still enough to keep the Straw Hat captain at No. 1. Luffy also finished first in the original 2021 global poll, making this his second WT100 win.
The result fits the way One Piece has been built around Luffy for nearly three decades. He remains the character who connects the crew, the central mystery of the treasure, and the story’s final destination. A popularity poll is not a story vote, but it does show which character fans keep returning to when the entire cast is available.
The complete One Piece WT100 top 10
The top 10 includes the three members of the Straw Hat crew who usually sit at the center of popularity debates, along with major allies, rivals, and villains:

Sanji’s third-place finish gives the Straw Hat trio a familiar shape at the top, but Nami’s fourth-place result is the other major crew placement. Law, Robin, Ace, and Shanks keep the rest of the first eight tied to some of the series’ most important relationships and turning points.
Zoro made the race much closer this time
Zoro’s 2,148,793 points leave him only 229,726 behind Luffy. He still finished second, but the gap is small enough to make the final result feel like a real contest rather than a routine confirmation of the captain’s lead.
That pressure also shows up in the rest of the top three. Sanji’s 1,399,204 points are far behind the two leaders, yet he remains comfortably ahead of Nami and Law. The poll is not a power ranking, and it does not measure screen time or importance. It measures the characters fans chose when thousands of options were available.
Zoro’s position is especially easy to understand for longtime viewers. He has a clear role inside the crew, a personal promise that drives his training, and a rivalry with Sanji that gives the group some of its most reliable friction. The poll does not need a surprise twist to make his second-place finish interesting.
Mihawk and Loki give the top 20 some extra variety
The rest of the results widen the picture beyond the Straw Hats. Dracule Mihawk takes ninth, just ahead of Crocodile in tenth. Both characters are tied to the series’ older power structures, but their placements also reflect how much attention One Piece gives to rivals and former enemies who can disappear for long stretches before returning to the conversation.
Loki lands at No. 20, one of the most notable placements connected to the current Elbaf story. He sits below Usopp at No. 19 and above characters such as Charlotte Cracker and Donquixote Doflamingo. A top-20 finish does not reveal what will happen next in the story, but it shows that fans are already paying attention to a character whose role is still developing in the anime and manga.
The poll covered the entire One Piece cast
The second WT100 opened voting to 1,567 characters, not only the people currently appearing in the weekly story. That is why the ranking includes figures such as the Going Merry, Thousand Sunny, Kung-Fu Dugong, and Gaimon alongside the main crew and major villains.
The wide field makes the top 10 more useful as a snapshot of the franchise than as a simple popularity contest between Luffy and Zoro. Readers could vote for characters from early East Blue arcs, the New World, the current Elbaf material, films, and the many smaller comedy roles that make One Piece’s cast unusually deep.
It also explains why a result such as Gaimon at No. 98 can sit on the same official list as Luffy, Robin, and Shanks. One Piece has been running long enough for a character who appeared in one early story to remain part of the shared fan memory.
