Netflix has named Ryu Jun-yeol, Hong Kyung, HOYEON, Won Ji-an and Justin H. Min as the five leads of Outback, a mystery series set in Australia. The title is still a working title, and Netflix has not announced a release date.
What is Outback about?
Hong Kyung plays Zion, who travels to Australia after the sudden death of his sister Si-young. As he follows her final traces, he begins to question what happened to her. Won Ji-an plays Si-young, whose death drives the investigation.
Who else is in the cast?
Ryu Jun-yeol plays Han Minhyuk, a mysterious man at the center of the case. HOYEON plays Smiley, a livestream creator whose actions are hard to predict. Justin H. Min plays Scott, a Korean-Australian police officer.
Who is making the series?
The story adapts the webtoon G’Day. Han Jun-hee created the series and is an executive producer. Jeon Du-gwan directs, while Park Hyun-woo and Han wrote the script. Netflix has confirmed the cast and premise but has not set a premiere date.
